How to get income tax officer job after completing degree with BSc?
Good morning sir. I completed my degree with B.Sc. I want to get this job.when can i apply ?please tell me the details of applying and exam syllabus.

After B.Sc you can definitely apply for the post of income Tax officer. You have to appear for SSC exam as part of this. You can apply for SSC exam via online. Maximum age limit required to apply for SSC exam is 27 years. The general topic areas that will be included in this exam are General intelligence, mental ability, Language skills and Comprehension, GK etc. If you successfully clear SSC exam, you need to attend physical test followed by personal interview too.

Yes you are eligible to become IT officer with B.Sc. The job of Income Tax officer is to deal with matters that are related to income tax. He works for the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) which is a deparment of goverment of India.
The responsiblity of Income Tax Officer is to search for the defaulters in the country and bring them to notice so that necessary action against these people can be taken. It is a very important job since Income Tax is main source of revenue for the government of India. To become Income Tax Officer you will have to go through exam conducted by the Staff Selection Commission. The eligiblity to become IT officer is as following: ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA Qualification You must have Bachelor's degree is any stream to become Income Tax Officer. Age As on the July 1 of the examination year, you are should be between 18 to 27 years. The upper age limit for OBC candidates is 30 years. 33 years is the upper age for SC/ST candidates. The notification of examination along with application form, syllabus and other important details is published mainly in the month of April in the leading newspapers like Rozgar Samachar, Gazette of India etc. Preliminary Exam During the month of May or June, Preliminary exam takes place. The exam consists of two papers: General Intellegence and General Awareness Arithmetic Both papers consists 100 questions of total 100 marks. Candidates are given hours each to complete the papers. Once you pass the Preliminary exam you would be eligible for the Main Exam. Main Exam Main Exam consists written Exam and Personality test. Part A - Written Exam - Subjects are: General Studies - 200 marks - 3 hours duration English - 100 marks - 2 hour 20 minutes duration Arithmetic - 200 marks - 4 hours Language - 100 marks - 2 hours and 20 minutes Communication Skill and Writing - 200 marks - 2 hours and 2 minutes Personality Test Once you passed the written exam, you would be called for interview where your personality and mental ability would be tested. |

if you are interested in Income Officer , first you crack the CGLT (Combined Graduate Level Test) this examination is conducted by SSC (Staff Selection Commission) in yearly ones. SSC Conducted Exams : - Tentative Time Table of SSC : - Eligibility Criteria for CGL : - You must have a any degree from any recognised university Selection Procedure : - Tier-1 Examination Tier-2 Examination Interview, Skill Test.........etc all the best....... To be income tax officer you should have any degree of a recognized University, or equivalent.
Your age should not be not less than 18 yers and not greater than 27 years on the first July of the year of examination The age limit for the posts of Inspector of Income Tax, is 18-27 years as on March 2011 Physical Standards (Minimum): a)Height :157.5cm b)Chest :81cm ,fully expanded with a minimum expansion of 5 cm c)Physical Test: i)Walking:1600 meters in 15 minutes ii)Cycling:8 Km in 30 minutes Selection Process: we have two modes of entries in Income Tax Department. We can go through Civil Service exams.As I discussed above Income Tax Department is also a part of civil service, so the whole process is as same as for others its your ranking and scores in entrance which will decide you to get there. By going through Civil Service candidate can expect 'High Ranking Post' like- Assistant Commissioner etc. Or we can go through Staff Selection Commission (SSC): It is a Designated body of Government of India whose objective is to Recruite various types Group - 'C' or III level recruitment. Lower Division Post like- Sub-Inspector, Inspector, Assiatant etc. comes under group- C hece recruiment are made by SSC. The selection process for this post is through a written test conducted by SSC. You can get the important details regarding the exam from the notifications which gets published in the official website of SSC. Those who qualify in the written test will have to attend the personal interview also. You can apply via online for this exam. |
