Income Tax Officer Eligibility Criteria:-

The income tax department is definitely one of the most important department as it helps in collecting lots of revenues for the government. The recruitment of the Income Tax Officers is done by the Staff Selection Committee.

Nationality:-

You need to be a citizen of India.

Educational Qualification:-

You need to be a graduate in any discipline of your choice from a recognized university.

Age Limit:-

Minimum Age Limit:- 18 years
Maximum Age Limit:- 27 years

Age Relaxation:-

The upper age limit is relaxed for the following categories:-

~SC/ST Candidates: 5 yrs.

You can apply for the Income Tax offocer exams which is conducted by SSC if you meet the below eligibilty conditions

The name of the exam is SSC Combined Graduate Level Exams

Next exam would be held in 2014 only

This exam is held in three stages- that is tier 1, tier 2 and Interview

There are mainly three stages for this exam :

• Preliminary Exam,
• Main Exam and
