I am gautam partap soni and live in Ludhiana and done my graduation from Punjab technical univ. with it stream. i want know how can i get job in cid section because i have lot of interest to get there. so please guide me how i can join. where can i found ralivent valid application form. provide me some link.

I am very happy to see that you are willing to join Crime Investigation Department aka CID. I believe the interest in joining the CID has gone up thanks to the television show with the same name. Anyway it does not matter if as long as people want to serve the nation by joining CID.

CID is a different police department comparing to the ones that investigate normal cases of murder and robbery. In fact CID along with ATM are the two special wings of Police department.

Most states and cities have their own Crime Investigation Department that are often referred as Crime Branch. States like Delhi, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh etc all have their own Crime Investigation Department.

The job of CID is different from normal police because it has the power to investigate cases that involves multiple districts or even states. Mainly CID is given cases that are very complicated. Crime Investigation Department has plenty of technical experise to crack complicated murder and robbery cases.

In past it even used to investigate terror cases but now these cases are mainly investigated by ATS and NIA.


Eligibility:

To become CID officer you need to appear in UPSC Civil Service Examination.


Nationality:

You must be citizen of India.


Education Criteria:

For officer level post you need to have graduation degree in any stream from a recognised university of India.

Candidate should secure at least 60 percent marks in graduation course.

Those who wish to apply for post of costable in CID need to have minimum qualification of 12th pass from a recognised board.


Age Limit:

Candidate must be between 21 to 25 years.

Age Limit is extended for SC/OBC/ST category candidates by 5 years.

To join CID you need to appear for Combined Graduate preliminary Exam which is conducted by SSC board every year.
you need to have good physical strength also like any armed force.
your age should be in between 20 to 27 years old.

Become a CID Officer :

CID i.e Criminal Investigation Department and this is a crime detection agency under the govt of India and there are other posts like;..Finger Print Bureau and the Crime Investigation Bureau in scientific section.

Required Requirements :

Si if you want become a CID officer the you must write and qualifying the indian civil services exams conducted by the union public service commission.

The union public service commission is conducted the entrance exams in every year for various posts under civil services exams.

For CID Officer posts the required educational qualifications are you must completed the graduation with from recognized university.

Required minimum age limit for these course is 21 years and maximum 27 years and here age relaxation is available as per UPSC govt.

Selection Processor :

For this exam the selection processor is based on the written test and personal interview and some posts required to qualify the physical effective tests.

Apart from first conducted the written test called for final section test i.e the personal interview and for written test question paper will be objective type.

For these officers must have certain basic skills and excellent communication skills and pleasing manner and also have knowledge on current happenings in the society.

Age limit: age must be between the 21 to 30 years

You will able to fill the Crime Investigation Department Job Application Form through two exams.These exams are :-

1. Intelligence Bureau conducted by Ministry of Home Affairs.
2. SSC GCL conducted by Staff Selection Commission.

At present there is no notification for recruitment in any one of the departments.Intelligence Bureau Notification comes in the month of July and Exam Notification for SSC CGL comes in the month of March.So you can apply for the nest year that is for 2014.
