I have 60+ marks in pcm in 12th, currently pursuing telecommunication engineering in vtu, I wanted to know if I can find a job in Merchant Navy on my education qualification because am very much interested in it.

Dear Aspirant ,

To join Indian Navy after passing class 12th, you can give the NDA exams.
This exam is conducted by UPSC two times each year

Next NDA exam will be held on 14th April 2013
forms are being filled right now
Last date to fill the forms is 21st January 2013

Eligibilty Criteria:

Education:

Army Wing-12th Pass in any stream
Navy & Airforce Wing- 12th Pass with Subject Physics and Maths as subjects.

AGE- 16.5 years minimum age
Maximum age- 19 years
For the next NDA exams Candidates born between 2nd January 1995 to 1st July 1997 can apply

Selection Procedure involves:

>> Written Test
>> SSB interview

i have passed 12 exam securing 58%PCM and 59% in englinsh and 63%aggregate and then i am having 36 months experience in foreign going vessel.so,m i possible to get 2nd mate exam directly without giving NCV examination? can u pliz reply as soon as possible?if possible, pliz let me recommend as well......
