how should i join C.D.S. after b.tech in IT trade? syllabus of exam and what kind of questions appear in C.D.S entrance exam?

CDS examinations are held twice in an year.It is usually held in the months of February and September so the notification gets released two months before the examination date.The notifications will be published in the weekly journal "Employment News" and in daily newspapers like "The Hindu".

The examination is of two stages.The first stage comprising of the preliminary examination conducted in selected cities and if qualified in the preliminary examination then you will be called up for the SSB which is of a 5 day test.The rest of the details is available in the notification attached below.

CDS examination is conducted twice a year .The examination is conducted by the UPSC twice a year.Through this examination recruitment to the NAVY,ARMY,AIR FORCE and OTA is done at officer post .The examination is conducted in the month of February and September.You can now apply for the February 2012 CDS I exam.

Last date to apply for the exam ::28.11.2011
Date of the examination :: 12.02.2012

Eligibility for the examination ::

For ARMY The interested candidates should have got a degree in any streams and should be between 19-24 years

Air Force Academy : The interested candidates should have got degree in any streams and must have mathematics and physics in class 12th and should be between 19-23 years

Officers Training Academy(OTA)The interested candidates should have got a degree in any streams and should be between 19-25 years

Exam pattern ::

For IMA,NAVY IAF::There will be three papers::

English
General Knowledge
Elementary Mathematics

For OTA::There are only two papers instead of the three papers :

English
General Knowledge
