I am girl and am studying 12th science.I want to join INDIAN AIR FORCE and want to become a pilot.Please suggest me in details about its process and various exams which can help me to join as a PILOT.I have done SEA CADET CORPS for 4years.

After 12th Science one can join Indian Air Force through cracking NDA(National Defence Academy) entrance exam conducted twice every year as NDA-I and NDA-II for an entry in to Indian Army, Navy and Air Force wing of NDA.

The eligible candidate aspiring for Indian Air Force wing of NDA, must be an unmarried Indian Male having either appear for the final 12th exam or pass with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as subject of studies from a recognised Board within the age of 16.5 to 19 years with good Physical and Mental health.

Dear friend yes you can join Indian Air Force through cracking NDA entrance exam.

NDA stands for National Defence Academy.

NDA exam is conducted by Union Public Service Commission twice time in a year for three wings.

- Army wings

- Navy wings

- Air force Wings

Eligibility criteria for NDA Examination :-

Candidate should be an Indian citizen.


Indian Air force wings:-

Candidate must have completed 10+2 with PCM subjects from a recognized board.

There is no minimum marks required for NDA Examination .

Age limit:-

Age should be between 16.5 years to 19 years.

There is No age relaxation for reserved categories in this exam.

Only unmarried Male candidate are eligible to apply this exam.

After passing class 12th you need to apply for the NDA Written tests
NDA Exams are conducted two times each year

-->> NDA stands for the National Defense Academy. this exam is conducted for the Joining Indian Defense Service direct after completing your 12th Standard, exam is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission twice time in every year......

As you have mentioned that you are interested in joining Air force or Navy after the 10+2 exams .The best way to do so after 10+2 is to crack the National defense entrance exams.

This entrance exam is held twice every year for the candidates who are interested in joining the different wings of defense .

Eligibility criteria for the exam:

>>Minimum 10+2 from a recognized board passed or appearing.

>>You age must be between 16.5-19 years.

>>Only unmarried male candidates can apply for the exam .So if you are female then you cannot give this exam.

>>Physical fitness along with mental is necessary.

>Indian citizenship is mandatory.

If the candidate wants to make entry into Indian Air Force after completion of 12th class, it is possible.

For this, the candidates have to crack NDA Exam which is being conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) two times in a year.

The candidates will be eligible to join the following defence services
Army wing
Navy wing
Air Force wing

To apply for Air Force wing, the eligibility criteria will be

One should have completed 12th class from a recognized college with Mathematics and Physics as the compulsory subjects.
-Candidates who are pursuing final year of 12th class can also apply for this exam.

As per age criteria.
The candidates should be in the age group of 16 1/2 years to 19 years.

There is no relaxation in upper age limit for the candidates of any category.

Girls are not eligible to apply for NDA Exam.

That too you are having Science stream which is not sufficient to apply for Air Force wing.

You can join the Air Force by cracking CDS (Combine Defence Services) Exam. For this you should have to complete your Graduation with Mathematics and Physics

You can make entry into defence services also by UES (University Entry Scheme).

Interested Person with meeting Eligibility criteria are eligible to apply for this Entrance Examination,

Eligible to be admitted in NDA Entrance Examination, the Applicant must passed in Intermediate Examination (12th) Standard with pass mark from recognized university.

But, Please don't loose you're confident, Still you having chance to join in Indian Aiforce wing.
