my self miss more sadhanayashwant, i am from Nashik, Maharastra. I have copmpleted my post graduation in microbiology with distinction, and i Am willing to join Indian army. plz tell me way which i can work in indian army.

Yeah you are eligible for Indian Army after completion of your graduation only.

This can be done through CDS(Combined Defence Service) examination.

This exam is conducted by the UPSC(Union Public Service Commission) twice in a year.

Eligibility criteria:-

The candidate should be complete graduation in any stream from any recognised university.

Final year appearing candidates are also eligible.

The candidate must be a citizen of india.

Male and Female both are eligible for this exam.

The candidate must be physically fit.


Age criteria:-

For Indian Navy--> 19 to 22 years,

For Indian Airforce--> 19 to 23 years,

For Indian Military academy-->19 to 24 years,

For Officer Training Academy--> 19 to 25 years.


Selection process:-

Written exam,

Medical test,

Personal interview.

Indian Naval Academy : Degree in Engineering

Indian Air Force Academy : Degree of a recognized university ( 12 th stands with Physics & Mathematics )

Age limit :

IMA : Male candidates should be born earlier than 2nd January , 1990 & not later than 1st January , 1995

Indian Naval Academy : Male candidates should be born earlier than 2nd January , 1992 & not later than 1st January , 1995

Indian Air Force Academy : candidates should be born earlier than 2nd January , 1991 & not later than 1st January , 1995

Officers Training Academy :

SSC Course for Men : candidates should be born earlier than 2nd January , 1989 & not later than 1st January , 1995

Officers Training Academy :

SSC Non Technical Course for women : candidates should be born earlier than 2nd January , 1989 & not later than 1st January , 1995

sir, I though a civilian have completed my class 12th in ARMY SCHOOL, now confused through which necessary stream i should complete my graduation or if required my MSC to be eligible for CDS EXAMINATION,to mention I am 18 year old niw and a girl
