Re: How to join Indian Army after completing B.Tech course?
After completing a B.Tech course, there are several ways to join the Indian Army. Here are some options:
Combined Defence Services (CDS) Exam: The CDS exam is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) twice a year. You can apply for the CDS exam and, if you qualify, you will be eligible for various officer-level positions in the Indian Army. The selection process includes a written exam and an interview conducted by the Services Selection Board (SSB). Technical Entry Scheme (TES): The Technical Entry Scheme is a direct entry scheme for unmarried male candidates who have completed their 10+2 education with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM). Candidates with a B.Tech degree can also apply for the TES entry. The selection process includes a written exam, SSB interview, and medical examination. University Entry Scheme (UES): The University Entry Scheme allows final and pre-final year students of engineering colleges to apply for a Short Service Commission in the Indian Army. The selection process includes a written exam, SSB interview, and medical examination. Short Service Commission (SSC): The Indian Army conducts special recruitment drives for candidates with technical backgrounds to join as officers through the Short Service Commission. The SSC entry is available for both technical and non-technical branches. The selection process includes a written exam, SSB interview, and medical examination. |
