hii...i m studing in 10th. i m interesting to join the merchant navy. please you can tell me what to do after 10th. which type of coures,study etc...

can i join marchand navy after 10th? i m the convent student and more of all in m nice swimmer compitied up to national level championship ?

i hav completet my 10th in maharashtra and i would like to join marchent navy...can i join marachant navy after 10th???????

I am not surprised that you are interested in Merchant Navy. To be honest with a chance to travel around the world and good salary package, who would not be attracted towards the merchant navy. It is the dream job for millions of candidates.


There are various jobs in the merchant navy starting from deck cadets to officer level jobs. The higher the post, more perks will come your way. Not to mention good salary as well. Therefore what you need to do purely depends on what type of job would you prefer.


Right now you have completed 10th standard. You will first need to complete 12th with PCM subjects. Then there are various options for you which I am mentioning below. Please read it out carefully before applying.



Eligibility

1. Must have completed 12th with PCM from a recognized board.

2. Only unmarried candidates can apply for job in Merchant Navy. This rule applies to both man and woman.

3. You will have to pass medical test to be eligible for the job.


Qualification

1. After 12th you should either pursue B.Sc in Nautical science or the Marine Engineering course.


After completing any of these courses you will be eligible for various officer level posts in the navigational and engineering fields.



Direct Entry

1. Those who have completed 10+2 can apply for deck cadet job in Merchant Navy.

2. Similarly if you have completed B.Tech in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Technology then there are various jobs for you in the Merchant Navy.


If you apply for deck cadet then there will be a need to get basic pre-sea training. This would be arranged by the company that hires you. Similarly Engineering candidate applying for direct job would also need to go through 9 months of Pre-sea course in Marine Engineering from MERI.

HI,

Educational qualification for Navy Academy :- The candidate should Compulsory having physics and Mathematics in 12th board Examination .

Age Limit :

~~For Navy academy : Your age should be 19 years to 23 years

~~For Officer Training academy : Your age should be 19 years to 25 years .

~~Nationality of India.

Marital Status :-

Only Unmarried male candidate are eligible to apply for Navy academy .
But both the Male and female candidate are eligible to apply for this Officer training academy .

You are not eligible to join the Merchant Navy with the 10th class.
You must need to study 12th standard.

Eligibility of Merchant Navy:

Candidate should be citizen of india.

Candidate should complete the 12th standard from any recognized university.

Percentage not required.

PCM subjects compulsory in 12th standard.

Age limit should be between 16.5 to 19 years.

Only male candidates are eligible.

Candidate should physically fit.

I am sorry to say that there is no chance join in Navy with 10th standard

because

The Minimum educational qualification for Navy is 12th standards with PCM subject from any recognized university

and the candidates age should between 16.5 years to 19 years

and

Candidates should be a citizen of India

Note : Only Unmarried male candidates are eligible for this examination

so, friend first complete your 12th standard

then you are eligible to Navy

How to join Merchant Navy after fail in 12th in PCM?

To join Merchant Navy you have to complete 10+2 with Physics,Chemistry and Mathematics then you can apply for it.

Hence at present you are not eligible for Merchant Navy. Just take admission in 10+2 with Science stream and pass with good marks so that you can join Merchant Navy.

In Merchant Navy you will get Deck Cadet post if you are 10+2 passed.

For higher posts in Merchant Navy you must have Graduation in Marine Engineering or Nautical Sciences.

The selection in Merchant Navy will be on the basis of following:

-Written Examination

-Medical Examination

Please note that you must be medically fit if you want to join Merchant Navy.

Eyesight must be 6/6 and no eye ailment is allowed in Merchant Navy.

you are not eligible in merchant navy after 10th

but you can do this after completing your intermediate with physics,chemistry,mathematics as your subjects

you age should be between 16.5 to 19.5

you should score minimum of 60% in intermediate

try your level best

After passing 10 if you want to join Merchant Navy then you have to pass 11th and 12th with Physics, Chemistry and Maths.

After pass 12th 12th with minimum 50% marks you have to join Marine Time Institute with give you training for Merchant navy.

hiii, you may go for NDA examination to join merchant navy or try for it after 12th standard. By giving ssc examinations you can also go for navy.

No, you need to complete your class 12 with physics, chemistry and maths for direct entry. There are many courses to opt from in context to Merchant Navy. Spanning from 3 years B.Sc. in Nautical Science. Candidates need to be 10+2 with minimum 60 per cent and Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English. Age limit should be between 17 to 25 years. There is also 2 years Higher National Diploma (HND) in Nautical Science. Candidates should be 10+2 PCM and age limit for the course is 25 years. The one year Diploma course in Nautical Science require candidates who have passed class 12 with minimum 55 per cent and with Physics, chemistry and maths. There are 4 months Deck Cadet Course and 4 years Degree course in Marine Engineering. In both courses, candidates have to be class 12 pass and age limit is 25 years.

Sorry to inform you that you cannot join merchant navy at this stage.

But you will have the chance to do so once you complete your 12th as well as crack the NDA examination .

NDA stands for National Defense Academy .This examination is held twice in a year by Union Public Service Commission .

NDA has three wings which are Indian Navy,Indian Air Force and Indian Army .

Minimum qualifications required for the same examination is given below :

Your age must be within 16.5 years to 19 years .

You must be an unmarried male candidate .

You must have done your 12th with physics,chemistry and mathematics as your main subjects in 12th from a recognized school/college .Final year students are eligible too .

The examination will be held in two steps which are written exams and SSB interview respectively .

So first complete your 12th and meanwhile look for your goal too .
