how i join the marchant navy after 12 in pcm .?..please give me the details

Can i join indian navy after 12th pcm pass more than 60%. I have glasses in my eye

You can join the merchant navy in two ways. If you do not want to study any further then there is deck cadet job for you to apply. The salary won't be great but good enough. Don't expect 6 digit figure for salary.

If you can study further it would be nice. The officer level jobs are well paid and comes with additional perks. I will definitely recommend you to continue with your studies as pursue either B.Sc in Nautical Science or Marine Engineering course.


Eligibility

1. You should have completed 12th with PCM.

2. Only umarried candidates are eligible.

3. The age limit is 20 years.

4. SC and ST can apply till 25 years.

5. You will have to pass a medical test.

6. Physical requirements will have to be met such as at least 5 feet height, 6/6 vision etc.


You can complete the Marine Engineering or B.Sc in Nautical Science and then apply for some officer level jobs in marine engineering.


Direct Entry

As I mentioned earlier, after completing 12th you can apply for the deck cadet job. If a company selects you then it will arrange a 3 months long pre-sea training for you.

Candidates who have completed B.Tech in Electrical/Mechanical/Technology are also eligible for several officer level jobs in Merchant Navy.

However such candidates will have to undergo through a 9 months log pre-sea course in Marine Engineering from MERI.

Yes definitely you can apply for Merchant Navy if you have passed 10+2 with physics , chemistry and maths. You will be eligible for Deck Cadet post in Merchant Navy.

You should have very good eyesight and required medical fitness if you are aiming for Merchant Navy Career.

If you want to join the Engineering fields of Merchant Navy then you should complete Bachelors Degree in Nautical Sciences or Marine Engineering.

Before joining the Merchant Navy you will undergo Pre Sea training .So if you have the zeal to join a adventurous career like Merchant Navy then you must be well prepared for it.

To join Merchant Navy you have to pass written examination and medical fitness test . The written examination will have questions from Maths and Physics.

The minimum age must be 16.5 years

Maximum age is allowed up to 19 years


You must have a +2 qualification

Through this exam you can join in Navy academy

For this exam you must have following eligibility

And after the comlition degree also you can enter the Navy acedamy through the CDS exam.

dnt waste your precious money and
time in doing any merchant navy
course bro there are no placements
in this feild even after getting
experience and even if you get a
good company you have to face the
same problem coz there are alot of
their own candidates waiting ... even
cheif officers now have to wait to
join a ship ...same thing true with
engine side people too .......better
mqke your career in other feilds coz
this condition of merchant navy is
never gonna come to an
end ..........all the luxurious
lifestyle,roaming world, making

candidates there is nothing like that
u have to spend more than u get
and thers no chance that you can

Merchant Navy Eligibility Criteria
