RAW is also Known as Research and Analysis wing which is an External Intelligence Department of India.It basic function is to provide confidential data related to India Security and take appropriate steps to stop havoc visitations.

RAW is an Independent Intelligence authority of india and it works under the Prime Minister Office.

Any candidates cannot join Raw directly.Only the best officres from IAS/IPS/IB/CDS/NDA are selected for these jobs after successful training.Thus the candidates who are working as a Administrative officers in Indian Navy/Indian Air-Force/Indian Army will only able to get selected for the RAW.

As you are from Biology background thus you will not be eligible to even apply for Indian Defence services as well but after getting pass in UPSC Civil Services and giving your best performance will help you to join RAW by departmental internal training.

In my opinion you should either apply for UPSC Civil Services Exam/Commandant Officer exam.To apply for this exam the eligibility required is as follows :
-->>Candidates should have a valid bachelor degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
-->>Candidates Nationality should be an Indian.
-->>Candidates age should between 21 years to 30 years.

For RAW Candidates must have a graduate from any reputed organization or Institute to apply for Intelligence Officer post.
