I want to Join the Raw tell me what the procedure that I Join the Raw.

For RAW [Research and Analysis Wing], officers are recruited from serving officers of IPS [Indian Police Service]. To enter IPS, you need to appear for Civil Services Exam conducted by UPSC every year.

Candidates are selected for RAW(research in analytical wing) from CBI officers/agents and police department. After have experience in investigation or in police department candidates/officers are observed for educational qualification by selection committe. UPSC conducts exam for both CBI and IPS (police department). So first you have to join either investigation department or police department. For more information on exam, you can visit the official site of UPSC-www.upsc.gov.in

No direct entry is there to this wing. You need to have an exceptional record of accomplishment in the police department. Dear friend,

There is not any direct admission in intelligence department like RAW.

First of all you have to join Indian army as RAW is the intelligence department of Indian army.
Then you will have to volunteer to work for RAW.
After a hard training and abilities of one they select only some of volunteer to work for RAW.
I will suggest you to firstly concentrate to join Indian Army because it is after process of joining army.

Raw is one of the elite batch of IPS officer

the recruitment for RAW is directly done through exam organize by STAFF SELECTION COMMISSION

the exam name is deputy field officer under cabinet secretary in which you can appear

RAW also recruit from army, police and other armed forces

the selection is open to public
RAW will keep eye on candidate before giving you call letter

so, you have to work hard to get selected

it is a secret agency ,so they donot have any website

Age Limit:

General Age Limit is 21-30 years. but there is relaxation is available for reserved category....

Relaxation on Upper Age:

• For OBC category : up to 33 years
  
• For SC/ST category : up to 35 years
  
• For PH : up to 40 years

raw is a very secretive and important agency. unlike the intelligence bureau it handles external security which is matters related to war and cross border terrorism. like the nsg commandos in the country raw requires professionals and that is why selection is confined to army and police force. for all the graduates and people who are doing their graduation courses and want to serve the country here are some options
1. cpf exams (central police force) you will be able to join cisf, crpf, etc. you start as a deputy supriendent. promotional aspects are also good.
2. upsc:the most toughest exam in the country. but if you pass it sky is the limit. you can join the field of your choice. you can join cbi and ib directly but raw depends upon your performance. personally this is the best option and visit upsc.gov.in for further information and google to learn more about the exam.

There is no any direct means through which you will able to get jobs in RAW.Only Central Level Ranked Officers can able to Join RAW.
In order to get Central Level jobs ,you should appear in UPSC Exam.

The Minimum Eligibility you will have to fulfilled in order to appear in this exam are :-

Currently there is no direct recruitment conducted by the RAW.
It recruits the persons from various other departments like Armed forces, Intelligence Agencies, Police Services, Administrative Services, Intelligence Bureau etc.

Now a days, candidates are being recruited directly from universities and colleges too.

There is no direct recruitment exam for RAW, firstly you have to appear UPSC exam. UPSC stands for Union Public Service Commission.


Eligibility criteria:-

The candidate should be complete graduation in any of the stream.

Graduation must be complete from a recognised university.

Candidate should be an INDIAN origin.


Age criteria details:-

Age limits are 21 to 30years,

3 years relaxation for OBC,

5 years relaxation for SC/ST candidates.

Sir i want to join RAW because i was really fascinated by the way their working environment is present and i am very much interested in taking challenges in my life.
