SBI (State Bank of India ) clerk exam would require atleast 50 % marks to clear it.

Well there are various sections as :
Test of Reasoning Ability
Test of Numerical Ability
Test of English Language
Test of Clerical Aptitude
Test of Computer knowledge

Still , moreover the percentage cut off depends on the number of candidates appearing and accordingly on cut offs .

So prepare well.

SBI Clerk Exam Pattern :

general awareness
general english
quantitative aptitude
reasoning ability
marketing / computer knowledge

each section carrying 40marks total 200 marks

min qualifying marks in each section
general awareness 7 marks
general english 6 marks
quantitative aptitude 8 marks
reasoning ability 5 marks
marketing / computer knowledge 9 marks

total min of marks 70marks

SBI is the top public sector in Indiad which conduct its own separate selection procedure of
-Written Exam
-Interview to recruit the candidates for the position of Clerks.

Except this SBI and SBI Associate Banks, remaining all public sector banks have joined hands with IBPS (Institute of Banking Personnel Selection) to conduct common written exam for the recruitment of Clerical positions.

The SBI Clerk Exam consists of questions from the following categories
-Reasoning
-Quantitative Aptitude
-General Awareness
-General English
-Computer Knowledge

As per cut off marks, it is going to be decided upon 2 things
-the number of candidates who have taken the exam
-the difficulty of the exam

One should have to secure minimum qualifying marks in each of the categories of the written exam to get through the written test.

Generally, one should have to secure 40% of marks in each of the category to qualify in that category and this percentage will be little less for the candidates of SC/ST category.

Normally, the candidates will be invited to the Interview in the ratio of 1:3 in the sense if there are 1000 positions for which SBI has made notification, it will invite top 3000 candidates as per the score in the written exam to the Interview.

So, try to score as high as possible. As per my view, for the candidates of OC category, they need to score a minimum of 80% to get call for the Interview.

State Bank of India Clerical Entrance
Exam The SBI Clerical Entrance is organized by the
Department of Central Recruitment and Promotion
of the SBI for the recruitment of Indian citizens
into the Clerical Cadre posts. Structure and Pattern of the SBI Clerical Entrance
Exam The paper of the SBI exam will include questions
like General English, Quantitative Aptitude and
Marketing Aptitude / Computer Knowledge. Other
topics that will be incorporated in the question
paper are General Awareness and Reasoning
Ability. The paper will be of objective type and the candidates will have an option to choose
from multiple choices. For every incorrect
answer, one-fourth mark will be subtracted. As
the questions will be typed in bilingual, the
candidates will have an option to write the exam
either in Hindi or English. Qualification Criteria for the SBI Clerical
Entrance Exam Candidates who seek to write the exam are
required to be class 12 pass outs. They must have
secured a minimum of 60 percent marks in their
final exams (55 percent for the reserved
categories). Candidates who have passed a
diploma course after their matriculation are also qualified to apply. These candidates are required
to have a minimum of 60 percent marks in the
class X exam. Graduates of any background can
also apply for this exam (40% marks for general
candidates and 35 percent for candidates of the
reserved categories/ex- servicemen). The candidates are also required to be atleast 18
years when they apply. They also must not be
above 28 years of age. Application Procedure of the SBI Clerical
Entrance Exam The candidates can visit any branch of the SBI
and pay the designated amount. Following this,
they can apply online. Any other method of
application will be disqualified. The candidates
are also required to have a valid e-mail address.

Dear Friend,

SBI Conducts its own examination for the recruitment of clerical posts.

In the examination, you are asked 200 objective questions from five different subjects which are mentioned below :

- quantitative aptitude

- reasoning

- english

- general awareness

- computer.

From each subject , 40 questions are asked carrying one mark each.

There is also a negative marking as 1/4 marks are deducted if one of your answers is wrong.

Now , the qualifying marks depend upon the number of students giving the exam and the level of questions asked.

If the level of questions asked is easy or average , then its sure that the cut-off is going to be high , so one thing that you have to keep in mind that you must try to score marks more than 70% so as to ensure yourself to be called for the interview.

on the other hand, if the questions are tough enough then , marks between 60-65% are sufficient enough for you to be called for the interview.

So , it all depends on the level of questions and the no. of posts for recruitment.

In the SBI Clerical Written tests questions will be asked from the below Sections:
>> Reasoning Ability
>> Marketing Aptitude/Computer Knowledge
>> English
>> Quantitative Aptitude

Cut of marks is not fixed and it changes each year.
But ideally you have to pass in each section

Also if you score more than 70% marks in the written tests than that is the safe score for clearing the written tests
