Re: How many seats of MBBS in Maharashtra(Private and Government)? What is the distribution of seats cast wise?
hi friend
Last year, there were 2,370 MBBS seats at 22 government run and private medical colleges, which fall within the DMER admission scheme. Admissions for medical courses from July 4 Filled Preference Forms Will Be Scanned And Data Given To Candidates For Verification The process for filling up of preference forms for admission to the first-year medical (MBBS),dental (BDS) and other health science courses in the state will commence on July 4. The state directorate of medical education and research (DMER), which is the competent authority for the admission process, released the admission schedule on Thursday. The BJ Medical College, Pune is among the four regional centres identified by the DMER for the eligible candidates to report in person, as per the schedule based on the state merit list (SML) number, to collect and fill up the preference forms and get their documents verified from July 4 to 12. The directorate has specified the SML numbers for reporting to the regional centres on each day till July 12.The programme is available on its official website: www.dmer.org According to the DMER information brochure, the preference form filled by the candidates will be scanned and the data generated will be given to the candidate for verification of the choice of courses/ colleges exercised. After verification, the candidate will report discrepancy, if any, for correction. If the candidate does not report at the verification counter, it will be presumed that the data entered against his/her name is correct.
