Dear pal,
UPSC conducts the exam for the aspirants who wish to do service in the administrative field. One need to satisfy certain basic requirements if he / she wish to apply for the exam. 1. The aspirant must have completed his bachelor degree from any stream of his /her interest. 2. One can appear for the exam if the aspirant has completed 21 years of age. 3. The upper age limit is restricted to 30 for aspirants of general category . and for obc category it is33. For sc and st the age relaxation is five years and can apply upto 35 years of age. 3. The eligible aspirant can attempt the exam only a limited time within the upper age limit. For general category the number of attempts is restricted to maximum of 4. For obc category the maximum number of attempts is 7. There is no restriction on the number of attempts for sc and st. One is considered to have attempted if attempt is made in aptitude exam though didn't clear it. The selection process involves written exam and personnel interview. The written exam includes aptitude test followed by the main exam. Prepare well and try to clear all papers in the first attempt itself. All the best |

If you belong to SC/ST category, there is no such restriction which means you may write as many times as you need. Indian Administration Service exam is held once in year, this exam is part of Civil service exam and exam is conducted by UPSC.
Eligibility criteria for IAS exam: Candidate should have complete graduation degree with any stream from a recognized university. Age should be between 21 to 30 years for General category candidates,21to 33 year for OBC category candidates,21 to 35 years for SC/ST category candidates Number of attempts: 4 attempts for General category candidates. 7 attempts for Obc category candidates Unlimited attempts for SC/ST category candidates. UPSC board placed restrictions on the number of attempts of appearing the exam. GENERAL CATEGORY -- 4 ATTEMPTS TILL THE AGE OF 30 YEARS OBC CATEGORY---7 ATTEMPTS TILL THE AGE OF 33 YEARS SC\ST CATEGORY-- NO LIMIT TILL 35 All the best |

The no of attempts for IAS Examination is depending on your age factor. Generally The age limit is 21-30 years.Age relaxation is depending on your reservation categories. UPSC notification for IAS is every year. The Maximum no .of attempts for general category is 4.for OBC 7 attempts.And no bar for Sc/ST. The minimum education requirement for IAS is graduation in any discipline from recognized university. The cost of the application is Rs 100/-for general and OBC. Eligibility for IAS exam:- 1.Candidate must have complete the graduation at least.. 2.Candidate must be a citizen of India.. 3.Age should be in between 21-30 years. For SC/ST the upper age relaxation is 5 years and for OBC the upper age relaxation is 3 years.. 4.General candidates can appear 4 time in IAS exam. OBC candidate can appear 7 times in IAS exam. SC/ST candidate can appear unlimited times... So, go for it.. All the best. |
