Hi
For getting into any NIT your rank should be always below 20,000 (overall AIR)

and if you want in calicut and you belong to Calicut then any rank would work but your state rank should be less than 700 for securing your admission.
This is because in every state 85% seats are reserved for candidates belonging to certain state . This is known as Home State Quota (HS)
