according to the rankings of the engineering colleges in the india NIT warangal is better than the nit calicut.

NIT warangal is amongst the top 10 engineering colleges in the India.

and in case of the student life and the campus nit warangal is better than the nit calicut.
nit warangal have the green campus of about 300 acres.

see, in the survey it is been seen that student life,quality of education and placements in NIT Warangal is far better than NIT Calicut.

so the current position of NIT Warangal is Indian top most engineering college in India.

where as NIT Calicut is also a good institute. it is also to most college in India. but below the rank of NIT Warangal.

so, most of the student's first preference is NIT Warangal, then after NIT Calicut.

they are also providing very good job placements to their students. all the topmost companies of india comes to nit warangal for campus placement. so after taking admission in nit warangal, there will be no tension for job, your students life will become great, you will love the atmosphere of that college.

Both the nit's are famous nit's in southern region and recruit student through aieee entrance exam.
But i tell you one thing that NIT warangal is the best choice to do engineering rather than nit calicut due to following reason:
*Nit warangal comes under 20 in all india ranking of college.
*The on campus placement of nit warangal is better than nit calicut
*alumni of nit warangal is more than nit calicut
*The infrastruture of nit warnagal is better than nit calicut.

I got 7330 rank in aieee.According to last year analysis,i got NIT warangal mechanical and NIT calicut computer science.which is better?

I have been to both NIT Calicut and NIT warangal campuses as a placement officer.But to my dismay,despite of all ranks the students of NIT calicut performed way better then warangal students.Its a 450 acre campus with ultimate greenery and beauty.The facilities and newly constructed buildings for departments of chemical,maths and physics are simply international and stupendous.As I am not a student of any of the colleges, cant comment and compare about the student life out there.But astonished by the smartness of students, I did a little research on students life in calicut through which I found some surprising facts.There are nearly 24 clubs like Dance and dramatics,music,literature,entrepreneur and many more for the all round development of students.Their tech fest Tathva is an amazing platform for the budding engineers to showcase their talent.Oh..when coming to their cultural fest RAAGAM ..its the second biggest fest in south India after IITM,s saarang.Several celebrities like Sunidhi chauhan,Shankar mahadevan,Shaan,Benny dayal,Naresh iyyer have performed at the fest.Rock bands like breath floyd,Dark tranquility have also performed out there.Though the ranking of NIT Warangal is better than NIT calicut,I personally feel that STUDENTS DONT GET CARRIED AWAY BY RANKINS,LET YOUR INSTINCTS GUIDE YOU.Nenu andhra pradesh nunche kani ee vishayalu anni telisaka mana state loni educational system entha dayaneeyamaina paristhithilo undho telsindhi.

By rankings NITW is better than NITC. But NIT Calicut has an extremely beautiful campus.

colleges should not be compared on the basis of their rankings.Average placementsin nitc for mech. was 8.4lpathis year ,which is comparable to the iits.so think again.A single second of life is sufficent to change anything.,because every morning initiates a new day,with new thought.

talking about the campus,it has an area of 450 acers which is much greater than nitw.

Nit Calicut i would say.......... superb campus nice atmosphere

Both the NIT's are really good.
But for placement I would say, NIT Warangal is better. But still, NIT Calicut is not a bad option for placement.
Coming to college life and student extra curricular activities, I feel both are equal. Both the college conducts good annual fests and many events.
Being NIT Calicut in kerala is an added advantage, you will feel your stay pleasant and enjoyable.
Finally I say, both are good. But NIT Calicut is NOT a bad option.

Even though I've never been to nit warangal, i think nit calicut is an option worth considering..... campus is much larger than warangal( and growing) 4m the record. it also performs well in rankings and placements. the mechanical dept offers the best placement with an avg pay of 8.4 lpa. the cs and chemical depts are close behind with 6 lakhs per annum. coming to cultural fest, it host the secong largest cultural fest,ragam, in south india after iit madras's saarang. dont let the digits blind you. choose taking in to mind rankings can change(4 years doing btech is a considerable time, and nit calicut placement's 1 of the few which was unaffected by economic slowdown)

I have never been to nit warangal, bt i've been in nitc and i can tell u this. its good. its considered as 1 f the premier clgs in india. as per the records it has a far larger and much more beautiful campus(obviously as its in god's own country, kerala)campus than warangal . it hosts the second largest tech and cultural fests in south india, tathva and ragam, after iit madras fests. campus life is awesome and fun with leisure activities supporting academics. placements are good. mech dept has the best placements with an avg pay of 8.4 lakhs per annum. chemical and comp. science depts are close behind with 6 lpa and others follow on. nit warangal may at present have the b8r ranking.dont let the digits blind you. 4 years of btech is a lot of time and the day when you pass out is what really matters. keep in mind that nitc was 1 of those few clgs which was unaffected under the previous economic slowdown

its all bull shit that the nit w campus is better than nit calicut..............and every1 kant adjust to the weather conditions of warangal........i ve seen nit warangal personally and the campus is not that great..............nit calicut campus is considered better than nit w campus.....its larger and greener...........student life is better in nit calicut............as of the placements ..........theres only difference in the highest payed salary........even nit calicut students are given annual payments equal to that of nit w now a days...(except 4 the highest payed salaries...the average salaries are the same in the top5-6 nits)

is no match?where do u study nit w...........when u give info to sum1 make sure u know about both the institutes................nit w has got better placements than nit calicut i accept but only the highest payments but coming to the average salries they the top 5-6 nits are the same.......as of the campus u must be blind to say that nit w is better coz its not comparable coz nit c is a way larger than nit w and way lot greener than that..............

not at all .iit delhi mechanical rank 39 in the world...Nit warangal mechanical is also one of the best in all nits' ...gud luck

@ vishu - which ranking says IIT delhi Mech is 39th in the world? According to world QS ranking IIT rankings are between 151-200. There is no world ranking for any NIT.

I feel students of NIT Calicut are far better since people from Kerala have a high degree of Common sense much better than that of other states. Hence, even if NIT Warangal students get higher marks, i would prefer NIT Calicut students only

Which is the better for student life and placement between NIT trichy and NIT warangal When I get it in Jee third attempt (ECE or Mechanical)
