How much is required for b.tech i.t? How much marks needed to study b.tech it?

The fees in government colleges will be less than that in private colleges. In government colleges the fees is around Rs 25000 to 30000 per semester. In private colleges the fees is around Rs 50000 to 60000. From 2013 onward probably will need to appear for only the ISEET. The eligibility criteria of this exam is not available currently. But generally for this stream you need to secure good marks especially in subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Maths and English.

The fee for B.Tech IT completely depends on the college. If you are studying in government college that fee would be around Rs 20-40,000 per year while if you are studying in the private Engineering college, the fee could go up to Rs 1.5 Lakh per year. If you are going to stay in hostel then annual expenses are going to shoot up further. Therefore when you take admission for B.Tech in IT, make sure that the college is within your budget.

The marks requirement is not for B.Tech but the entrance exam. If you want admission in any Engineering college, firstly you would have to appear in entrance exams like IIT-JEE or AIEEE.

Each Engineering entrance exam has its own eligibilities. If you meet these criteria then you can appear for the entrance exam. Your performance in entrance exam would determine which college would give you admission.



IIT-JEE

Indian Institute of Technology - Joint Entrance Exam is the toughest engineering entrace exam in India. This exam is conducted for admission in prestigious IIT institutes in India.

Eligibility

You must have passed Class 12th with PCM as subjects from a recognised board.

You should score at least 60 percent marks in 12th board.

For SC/ST there is 5 percent relaxation on required percentage.

The percentage criteria for OBC candidates is same as General

You can appear for IIT-JEE entrace exam two times in consecutive years.


ADMISSION PROCESS

Offline Mode:

To register for JEE exam via offline mode you will have to purchase Optical Machine Readable (OMR) Application Form. The OMR forms are made avilable at some selected banks in each state. You will have to check the information on the official website of IIT-JEE.

The cost of OMR form is Rs. 1,800.

For SC/ST/PH - Rs. 1,000

Female Candidate regardless of category - Rs. 200


Online Mode:

In order to register online, you will have to visit the official website of IIT-JEE which is jee.iitd.ac.in/


AIEEE

The other major engineering exam is All India Engineering Entrance Exam (AIEEE). The AIEEE exam is conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).

Eligibility:

You must pass Class 12th with Physics, Maths and Chemistry as subjects.

Your percentage in 12th should be at least 50 percent.

Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PH need at least 40 percent marks in 12th board.

IT stands for Information Technology.
the exact fees required for the B.Tech IT cannot be predicted. the fees will depend on the college you will be taking admission. the fees structure also changes every year almost both in private and government colleges.

in government colleges the fees per year will be around 30 thousand(approx). but in private colleges the fees structure will be much more than the government one. the fees per year will be approx 1.2-1.7 Lakh per year having number of semesters.
the candidates with higher ranking will get chance in government college and the fees structure will be almost 1/4 of the private colleges.

the admission in the B.tech courses depend on the performance of the candidates in the entrance examination. Entrance examinations are conduct all over the India for engineering both at state and central level. AIEEE and IITJEE are the examination which are conducted on all India basis.

FOR IIT JEE: IIT JEE stands for the Indian Institute of Technology Joint Entrance Examination. the forms are available from the respective bank. the forms are available online also. the examination is held during the month of april after the end of board exams. if the candidate is able to clear the JEE then he/she will have to satisfy the eligibility criteria.

Eligiblity Criteria are:

1)The candidates must have physics, chemistry and maths in 10+2 exams;

2)the general candidates must have minimum 60% marks in 10+2.

3)the SC/ST candidates have to get minimum 55% marks in +2.

4)2 consecutive attempts are allowed.

For AIEEE: AIEEE stands for All India Engineering Entrance Examination. the forms are available from the advertised bank. the candidates need to pay the fees of the form in the bank.the form dully filled and attested is sent to the head office Delhi. the form can also be filled online. the examination are held some days after the board exams gets over.

Eligibility Criteria are:

1)The candidates must have maths and physics as compulsory subjects.

2)the general candidates must get minimum 50% in 10+2.

3)the SC/ST candidates must get minimum 40% in +2 examination.

4)Indian as well as Foreign Nationals can also give the examination.

Dear friend,

The fee structure for each college is not same for B.Tech course. It varies from college to college. It depends on you that in which college you are studying government or private. The fee structure of Government college will be around 50000- 60000 per year and also the hostel fee is not included in this fees. Where as in private college the fee structure would be around 1.5 - 2 lakh including hostel fees.

Second thing is that for doing B.Tech in Information Technology you don't need marks of 12th. Just you have to score minimum 60% in 12th to cross eligibility criteria. Once you have crossed eligibility criteria then there is no use of 12th marks whatever you scored. The marks which matters is your entrance exams marks. In order to get admission in top colleges you have to appear in IITJEE , AIEEE and BITSAT etc. through which depending on your rank you will alloted a college.

the Fees structure for B.tech is totally Dependent on Which college you select for study (Government or Privet).

Generally the fees of privet colleges are very high then Government colleges.
For Government colleges Generally the Fee is about 20000-25000
per Year.

Vareys for Privet colleges it may reaches to the 50000-75000 per year or may be above it.

i have completed in three years diploma on food processing and preservation. can't i joint other stream like civil,mechanical?
