Admissions to the institute are done as per the norms and policies of AICTE and State Government/ West Bengal Technical University. HSC holders having studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as subjects can apply. Admission to 80% of the total intake capacity is done on the basis of West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam (WBJEE). Rest of the 20% seats is filled on the basis of AIEEE and management quota. Lateral entry admissions are also available for diploma holders. Such candidates should have scored well in JELET to have admissions through lateral entry.
