To qualify Common Proficiency Test, you have to score a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. The test comprise of a single paper comprising four sections and the complete paper comprise of 200 marks. So, in order to pass the Common Proficiency Test, you have got to obtain a total of 100 marks. No matter how much score in each sections, if the total comes to 100 marks, you will be declared pass in the test.

Now, as far as the second part of your query is concerned, direct enrollment into Integrated Professional Competence Course (IPCC) will not be possible until and unless the proposal made by the council gets the approval of the regulating body. Till now, there is no official confirmation regarding the approval of the amendment and therefore, at this point of time, Common Proficiency Test remains mandatory for candidates willing to pursue Chartered Accountancy course.
