its a entrance exam conducted for admission in undergraduate medical program

HOW TO PREPARE

1. Be through with 11th and 12th physics , chemistry and biology . all the questions are asked from these only

2. the question paper also has assertion and reason type questions in phy , chemistry and biology , so to answer these questions you need to have deep understanding of subject matter.

3. revise important formulas of maths it will help you to solve the calculations based questions in physics and chemistry

4. the exam is of 3 hr 30 min so concentration during the exam is very important , d'nt panic and be nervous

5. solve mock test papers as much you can before 1 month of the exam . this will help you to settle you to hold examination for longer duration

6. try to solve reference books, first solve yourself and then check your answer given in the book .

7. evaluate how many question you marked incorrect and then start to study those topics more, it will help you to improve a lot

8. revision is must,revise as much you can . also keep revising the books of 11 and 12th for the basics

9. take test on every single topic , if you see that you are doing good then move to other otherwise study it more or take help from teachers and tutors

10. if you wish you can join coaching classes , it will help you to improve a lot moreover consult to teachers and candidates who have cleared the test .

11. stop reading fundamentals before the 1 month of exam , concentrate on solving mock papers at that time

12. d'nt study the day before exam or late nite study , just revise what you have prepared . take good sleep , walk , play and recharge yourself for the next day exam .

ELIGIBILITY

AGE - candidate should be more than 17 yr

EDUCATION - candidates should have passed 12 th with physics , chemistry and biology and english as a compulsory subjects

MINIMUM AGGREGATE - candidate must have got minimum 60 % in 12th , 50 % in case of reserved students

EXAM PATTERN

Paper will consist of 4 section

1. physics - 60 questions

2. chemistry - 60 questions

3. biology - 60 questions

4. general knowledge - 20 questions

> each correct answer will be given 1 marks

> - 1/3 for incorrect answer

total time - 3 hr 30 min

AIIMS MBBS MINIMUM CUTOFF

minimum cutoff to be obtained in each section

1. general candiadtes - 50 %

2. obc candidates - 45 %

3. st/sc - 40 %

Looking at the amount of competition you've to face in the entrance exam, I would suggest to join any coaching centre or atleast go for the coaching material of any well known medical coaching centre.
These will be particularly very helpful in your preparation as they have past experience of what and how the exam pattern is and varies every year.

General Tips For Medical Entrance Exam Preparation

Following are the guidelines to help you prepare better for the medical entrance exams:

1) Have a long term goal of finishing the syllabus till X date, but focus more on short term goals. The syllabus is vast, take baby steps. Don’t plan well in advance. Plan for a day or a week. Set realistic targets for a week and check your progress at the end of the week.
2) Do not buy every book in town. Go through the NCERT books thoroughly, and refer another 1 or 2 books for each subject for the numerical aspect and to know a little more about a particular topic.
3) Focus more on clearing your fundamentals. Clear your concepts, only then move to the depths of a particular topic.
4) In case you feel you do not understand a certain concept, do not hesitate to ask your friends or mentors.
5) Make a time table. Adhere to it.
6) Keep a check on your progress by taking sectional tests. Sectional tests help you fine tune your preparation, help you manage time better and, also, bring your weaknesses into the limelight.
7) Make sure that you overcome your weaknesses, before moving ahead.
8) Keep revising whatever you do. Remember, it is a marathon, and not a 100 meter dash.
9) Read blogs/articles/papers/books by famous doctors. If nothing else, it will tell you a little about what these people have done, what drives them and why they like what they do.
10) Do not put yourself under immense pressure. Take time out for yourself. Do something you love, develop a hobby and have fun while preparing.

FIRST OF ALL GET UNDER GOOD GUIDENCE, join some good coaching.
be particular what is taughtr at the coaching , dont leave it for tomorrow. as you are repeater you must be knowing very much part of the syllabus , revise the syllabus and along with take up new topics which you left earlier or not read very properly.
