Descriptive paper is made to judge your writing abilities and includes 4-5 questions in areas including essay on current topics, summary writing, and reading comprehension. The duration of descriptive part is normally one hour. Generally questions are asked from this sections are like; Essay Precis Report writing Letter(Both Formal and Informal) Paragraph writing For descriptive part, practice writing skills by writing short notes on any day to day topics to develop your skill of sentence formation and proper usage of grammar. Essay writing Precis writing Paragraph writing Letter writing Guide to writing a basic Essay Choose a Topic for Your Essay Topic is Assigned/Topic is Not Assigned Define Your Purpose Brainstorm Subjects of Interest Evaluate Each Potential Topic Organize Your Ideas Diagram Compose a Thesis Statement Add the Finishing Touches Check the order of your paragraphs. How to write a precis? 1.Write an outline of the main ideas. 2.Put your outline into sentence/paragraph form. 3.Count the number of words and make necessary changes. Tips for paragraph writing:- Topic sentence, Supporting ideas, RENNS (reasons, examples, names, numbers, senses), Optional concluding sentence, Unity, Coherence, Letter Writing Tips 1.Always proofread your letter after writing it, check for sentence structure, grammar, spelling mistakes... 2.Proofread your letter again and again after you have revised it. 3.Keep the recipient in mind, and write in a way that he/she can easily understand the letter. 4.Don't use abbreviated dates, i.e. use November 19, 2004, and not 11/19/04 5.Be respectful when you write, even if you are writing a letter of complaint.
