JEE stands for Joint Entrance Examination and it is a common engineering entrance examination which is held by CBSE once every year for admission in Centrally Funded Institutes of Technology like IIT, NIT, IIIT, ISM, etc. for undergraduate technical courses like B.tech., B.Arch.,etc. .

JEE is conducted in two stages which includes JEE Main and JEE Advanced respectively.

As far you are concerned about the weightage of Class 12th marks in deciding the overall rank list of JEE Main, then as per the new circular which will come into effect from JEE 2017 then there is no such weightage apart from the requirement of 60% aggregate in PCM in Class 12th for eligibility.

For the preparation point of view, first of all you will have to be first prepare your self with the NCERT syllabus of Class 11th and Class 12th and then you must ready yourself with NCERT Exemplar. Apart from this as the questions are objective type, so you must try the objective problems by the Arihant Publication. Also, you must try application based question as in these type of competitive examination questions are application based. At last, you must try to solve last year paper to get well known with pattern and difficulty level of examination.

For details about the same examination you must refer to the link www.jeemain.nic.in.

To prepare for the JEE(joint entrance exam) you should study the basic concepts and topics which are taught in the 11th and 12th classes. JEE mains consists of two examinations which are conducted for admission to B.Tech and B.Arch courses. If you are preparing for admission to B.Tech course through JEE then you should go through the books published by NCERT(national council for educational research and training) as almost 40% questions are straight forwardly asked from these books. you should also study the previous years question papers of JEE for getting an idea about the difficulty level of the examination. For getting various updates on changing trends and studying new topics apart from your subject, you can also subscribe to a monthly magazine such mtg. The second examination is conducted for admission to B.Arch courses and consists of mathematics, aptitude and drawing. So you may need to study aptitude subject apart from your curriculum and you can choose books from arihant publication for this subject.
Presently, the weightage given to the 12th result is 40% and for JEE main result, it is 60%. For further notifications, you can visit www.jeemain.nic.in
Do you have any question? or have anything to say?
