CLAT Exam Details: If you are seeking admission for the under-graduate and post graduate degree programmes in law in any one of the top National Law Schools in India then you have to give the Common Law Admission Test. This exam is conducted by these National Law Universities periodically. ~For the undergraduate course you need to complete your higher secondary examination from a recognized board with not less than 50 percent of marks. ~In case of reserved category however there is relaxation in percentage. For the SC/ST candidates or OBC candidates and persons with disabilities the percentage to secure is 45 percent of marks. ~If you are appearing for the class 12 exam or awaiting the result of the board exam then also you will be considered eligible to give this examination. ~While giving this exam your age should not be more than 20 years. This rule is applicable for the general category and OBC candidates only. For the reserved category candidates like SC/ST or persons with disabilities there is an age relaxation of two years. ~The written examination is basically objective type and all in all you have to answer 200 questions. Each question will carry one mark only. To complete this paper you will get only two hours. For the examination you have to cover the following sections:
~The information brochure and application form will be available from any one of the branch of State Bank of India. General Category students needs to pay Rs. 3000 and the reserved category students needs to pay Rs. 2500 for the kit. ~Forms will also be available from any one of the law universities which accepts CLAT scores or you can draw a demand draft of the amount mentioned above and send it to the university which will be conducting the exam in the next year. For example this year NLU, Jodhpur conducted the exam.
