Hi Sir/Madam, I am a student of BA with Hindi Honours from Calcutta University. After completing my BA, I want to do MA in Hindi from Banaras Hindu University. I would like to know about the procedure for securing admission.

In order to pursue Master's degree in Hindi i.e; MA ( Master of Arts ) in Hindi degree course from BHU ( Banaras Hindu University ) you are required to qualify BHU PET ( Post Graduate Entrance Test ) held once every year.

Further, to pursue MA in Hindi from BHU, you are required to have completed your graduation degree course with at least 50% marks overall with Hindi as one of the subject throughout the 3 year duration of your bachelor's degree from a recognized university. Marks relaxation of 5% is allowed for candidates belonging to OBC and SC/ST category candidates while there is no such requirement for candidates belonging to SC/ST category.

Yes. You can apply for M.A (Hindi) admission to BHU (Bananas Hindu University) after completion of your graduation from Calcutta University.

M.A (Hindi) Eligibility for BHU
- You must have passed B.A./B.Sc under (10+2+3) pattern with at least 50% marks in graduation except for the subject which needs only pass marks.
- Admission will be based on entrance exam BHU PET.

BHU PET 2019 Important Dates
- Application Available From : 10th February, 2019
- Last Date of Application : 9th March, 2019
- BHU PET 2019 : May, 2019

To secure admission in Banaras Hindu University to pursue MA in Hindi degree course, you are required to appear and qualify BHU PET.

Further, being a student of BA in Hindi (Hons.) degree course from Calcutta University, to appear in BHU PET, you need to manage at least 50% marks in your bachelor degree course if you belong to general category and 45% marks if you belong to OBC or PwD category.
