TNPSC Exam Details:

Just like various examinations which TNPSC conducts every year to choose suitable candidates for government departments it also conducts the VAO exam for the post of Village Administrative Officer.

The minimum qualification required for this post is an SSLC certificate or its equivalent. Even if you have higher qualifications it is still mandatory to have that SSLC certificate as otherwise you will not be considered.

While applying for this exam your age should not be less than 21 and the upper age limit for the general category is 30.

There is age relaxation for the reserved categories.

Apart from this proficiency in Tamil language is of vital importance.

The selection procedure remember solely depends on the written examination and therefore the primary focus should be on this. You should try and get the maximum marks possible to improve your chances of getting selected.

For the exam generally objective type questions will come questions will come from the following sections: General Knowledge and General English/ General Tamil.

The total marks alloted for the exam is 3 hours and total marks is 300. The qualifying marks for this exam is ninety. Questions will be of SSLC standard.

It is important for you to be physically fit for the exam so they will ask you to produce before them medical certificates as well.

If you want to apply online then you have to do so before 10th of August, 2012 by logging on TNPSC's official website.

At the time of online registration keep scanned photos and signature as they will ask for these things.

Cost of the application fee: is 125 rupees and it can be paid either in online or offline mode.
