Re: How to prepare for GATE exam in less time?
The syllabus of GATE examination will be different for different streams of engineering. Prepare a study plan based on the syllabus. If there is less time, try to concentrate on practicing past questions. Reference books and internet will help you to prepare for the exam. Certain coaching centers offer crash courses on the examination. They will be able to help you prepare for the important areas.

Re: How to prepare for GATE exam in less time?
GATE stands for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering. This Exam is being conducted by GATE Committee which consists of Professionals from Indian Institute of Science and 7 IIMs (Indian Institute of Management).
Here are some of the guidelines to prepare for GATE Exam. -As you have less time in your hands, don't bother or fear regarding the completion of syllabus for GATE Exam. -If you have fear in your mind, obviously you can not prepare for this Exam in better manner. -Try to finish the subjects first which you feel easy and then go for the subjects which you feel difficult. -As you have less time, don't stick to be perfect in entire syllabus. -Try to cover the important areas. -Try to purchase the GATE Questions and Answers Boosk in the market and go through them. -Practice as many model question paper and previous year question papers as you can. -Many of the questions that will be asked in GATE Exam are from your academic syllabus. So, don't neglect academics too. There is no limit on the number of attempts for this exam. So, I suggest you to appear for this exam in the pre fina year of your Engineering course. GATE score card is valid for a period of 2 years in the snese if you have appeared for GATE Exam in 2 consecutive years, you can use the GATE score card whichever is better to get admission for M.Tech course. Re: How to prepare for GATE exam in less time?
GATE-GRADUATE APTITUDE TEST IN ENGINEERING exam conducted by a Committee from the top professionals from IIT(Indian Institute of Technology) & IIMs for admission to M.Tech. courses.
As GATE is tough and competitive it should not be prepared in a short time, at least one year rigorous preparation is must before sitting for the GATE exam. However as you have no sufficient time to prepare GATE, here are some tips to prepare it in short time:- -First of all you should not prepare it with fear complex. Build enough confidence to face GATE boldly without thinking for the result. -With a short time you can not go by the syllabus strictly so try to cover the subject which is easier for you first then go for the difficult one. -Try your best to cover the important parts from the syllabus. -Practice the previous year's questions of GATE daily with regularity -Generally many questions being asked from your academic education in GATE, so try to cover up the same. As there is no bar to the numbers of attempts to GATE, So you should prepare GATE with ease and confidence. Remember failure is the pillar of success, so don't be disheartened. The GATE score is valid for two years so you can try for this consecutively for two years so that the best one you can adopt for admission to M.Tech. Re: How to prepare for GATE exam in less time?
Hai,
If you want to do great in GATE then there are five essential things you need to follow at this moment. 1. Easy subjects first When time is less for preparation, the best thing do is to start preparing with the subjects you feel easy about. As I mentioned in my earlier post that makes a priority of subjects when you have sufficient time to prepare and clear your doubts. If you analyze deeply, most of the subjects have almost the same weight age. Easy subjects will finish quickly and make you more confident. As soon as you finish a topic you will see more energy and excitement of cracking the GATE. 2. Use Short notes Try to collect short notes, such as brilliant tutorials, GATE forums or some other study material. This will help you speed up your preparation, as the notes don’t go into every detail of the subject, cover the essential concepts needed for the exam and save time. Do follow only one note as different notes may use different analogy and may lead to confusion. 3. Get Question banks Have a question bank or GATE questions’ answer book for sure. As soon as you finish a topic you can refer to different types of questions that can be asked. Don’t worry if you cannot solve all the questions. At least you will get an idea of the type of question you can expect and where do you stand. 4. Previous year papers Every GATE aspirant must solve previous year question papers. First and foremost it gives an idea about the GATE question paper. Secondly, sometimes you may get some questions from previous papers. 5. Avoid reading from soft copies It’s very common among student to search and download the soft copies of the books and notes. These soft copies can be easily found, downloaded and shared. But the disadvantage with soft copies is that you will read them on computer and can be easily distracted to other things like music, videos, internet … etc. It is always beneficial to make a hard copy of the important pages and avoid computer to concentrate well on the desired subject. You can also write down some important points if don’t want to have printed copy. The idea is to avoid all kind of distraction that prevents GATE preparation. All the best. |
