Re: How should I become an IAS officer after passing 12th?
You are not eligible to become an IPS Officer now. You need to complete graduation to meet the eligibility criteria. Selection to the job position of IPS officer is done through CSAT exam, mains exam and interview. Exam preparations can be started by joining graduation itself. General studies, verbal ability, GK, Indian History, etc are some of the topics covered for CSAT.

Eligibility Criteria for IAS Examination. --> Must Pass the graduation degree in any discipline from a recognize University. Final year graduation candidates can also apply. --> The age must be between 21 to 30 years at the time of examination. The age relaxation is also applicable for reservation category. These are the basic eligibility criteria for the IAS examination. As per eligibility criteria you are not eligible to apply for the IAS examination. So first complete the graduation degree and then think about the Civil Services examination. First you should complete your degree or graduation before appearing for IAS exam.It is conducted by UPSC who also conducts NDA exams. The one who is appearing should be minimum of age 21.But you should remember that IAS exam is never easy and it will not be easy further too, you had to devote totally yourself to study if you have too succeed.

So you have to be first do your graduation, than you are eligible for IAS. After passing your graduation you can apply for IAS exam. IAS (Indian Administration Services) is one of the hardest exam of Indian exams. So you have to be do hard work and also you can take coaching related to this. After clearing exam you have to go through Group discussion and personal interview rounds. And than finally an IAS will be selected. |
