DME stands for Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. It is a three-year Diploma Engineering course in the field of Mechanics. To be eligible to pursue Diploma Mechanical Engineering course, you should have passed 10th standard or equivalent examination from a Government recognised board.
Admissions in Diploma in Mechanical Engineering course are offered through State level entrance examinations like JEXPO, PolyCET, etc.,. In some states like Maharashtra, admissions in Diploma course are offered through Centralised Admission Procedure (CAP) on basis of merit of 10th standard board examinations. The fee structure for Diploma in Mechanical Engineering varies from College to College. In some colleges it is Rs. 15,000/- per year and it in some other top colleges it is Rs. 30,000/- per year.
