How to take admission for MCA in any AICTE approved college? What is the eligibility? Is Sikkim Manipal correspondence course equivalent to graduation?


Hi One of my friend has completed BSC(IT) from sikkim manipal university as a correspondance.As he was not aware that he is doing it as a correspondance.Now he wants to take admission for MCA from any AICTE approved colleages as a regular.Can you tell me he is eligible for same?
Is the sikkim manipal correspondance cources are equavalient to gradugation lvel degree.Please help me if you have any information regarding this.

In order to be eligible for MCA program from a recognized Institute, candidate must have completed the Bachelors degree program from a recognized University with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks. Admission to the program is based on entrance test. Non Technical graduates must have studied Maths in the +2 level of exam, however, for Technical Graduates including BSc [IT] there is no such compulsion. The duration of the program is three years.

As far as the recognition of the distance program of Sikkim Manipal University is concerned, it is recognized by the University Grant Commission [UGC], Distance Education Council [DEC], UGC-AICTE- DEC Joint Committee. Hence, the University is well recognized and candidates obtaining degree from it are eligible to participate in any competitive exam as well as for Higher Studies in recognized Institutes given one must fulfill the other eligibility criteria.

Is Shobhit University is good for BCA course for higher education further and any Government Job

Is the BCA degree from Shobhit Universityin distance education mode is eligible taking admission in another University like IGNOU in MCA program or can recognize for any government job ?
