Yes you can write IAS exam in Kannada medium ,Do u know Shivaramu (IAS Officer/Film Actor)? He is the first person who wrote I.A.S. exam in Kannada. After that it has become a common thing

If you want to become an IAS officer for that you have to ally for civil services exam conducted by UPSC
Civil Services Exam Will be held in Three Round .
1. Preliminary Exam
2. Main Examination
3. Interview Test
1. Preliminary Exam - This is an objective type questions based test which if the candidate passes, qualifies tothe second phase.
2. Main Exam - This is a subjective type questions based test which if the candidate passes, passes to the third phase after clear this you can go for interview round

My friend you can not write the IAS entrance exam in Kannada medium. There are only two languages in which Indian Administrative Service entrance exam is conducted. These languages are English and Hindi.

You can only write the Indian Language paper in the Main Exam in Kannada language. In this exam the candidate is given option to choose a Indian language from the list. Only this paper will be conducted in other regional languages like Gujarati, Kannada etc.

Rest of the written tests in Indian Administrative Service will be given in either Hindi or English. If you are not fluent in any of these languages then you should start working on it. I will recommend that you improve your English skills since there will be a written test on English language in Main Exam. This written test is not optional therefore mandatory to appear.


IAS Eligibility

1. You should be citizen of India.

2. Bachelor degree in any stream from a recognized university.

3. There is no percentage criteria.

4. The age limit for Civil Service Examination is 21 to 30 years.

5. There is upto 3 years relaxation for OBC.

6. SC and ST are eligible for upto 5 years relaxation.

Yes you can crack it, if you have a focused mind.
Language is not a matter, but it requires more effort compare to English medium.
Ex 2016 batch Bairappa from kolar cleared UPSC by writing it in Kannada and chosen chemistry as optional.
