I have scored less than 50% in 12th, can I apply for JEE Main?

I have scored less than 49% in 12th PCM. But in all other subjects in 12th, there is 59% marks. Am I eligible to JEE MAIN examination to conducted in this year?

The eligibility criteria for jee main
1)There is no age limit to appear for jee
2)should pass 12 standard with physics ,chemistry ,mathematics and a language
3)75% for general and other backward class
4) 65% for schedule class and schedule tribe
5)50%aggregate in the subjects and 50% in individual subjects
As you do not meet the above criteria you are not eligible for jee main

As far as you are concerned about your eligibility for appearing in JEE Main having completed your Class 12th with PCM group with 59% marks overall and 49% marks in PCM group then I would like to let you know that as per your educational qualification you are eligible for appearing in JEE Main but you are not eligible for admissions in CFTIs (Centrally Funded Institute of Technology) such as IIT, NIT, IIIT,etc. through JEE Main as for admissions in the same, you are required to have completed your Class 12th with at least 75%marks (or 65% marks in case of SC/ST or PH category candidates) from a recognised board of education.

However, in case you lie among the top 20 percentile candidates of your concerned board of education even after completion of your Class 12th with 59% marks then also you can apply for JEE Main for admissions in CFTIs.

For more details regarding JEE Main eligibility conditions, you can refer to the link www.jeemain.nic.in.

Dear SIR /MADAM According to selection criteria of IIT-JEE MAINS you have to secure minimum 75% marks in your 10+2 exam with physics, chemistry, mathematics as core subjects.
for reserved candidate (ST/SC or PH) the minimum marks is 65% from recognized board of education.
since you are not fulfill the criteria then you can not apper in this exam.

SORRY Dear, you are not eligible for jee mains exam.
You have to secure a minimum of 75% marks as a general category in PCM.
For SC/ST/PH candidates minimum marks are 65 %.

If you want to give jee exam you can give the board exam again and can secure better marks.

Better luck next time, keep trying

no dude you are not eligible for JEE MAINS because you can't do well in your 12th standard. If you score above than 75% then you are eligible for the JEE MAINS examination.
