To be eligible to apply or appear in JEE Advanced examination, you must have appeared, qualified and secured top 1,50,000 rank in JEE Main examination and you must have secured minimum aggregate of 75% (70% for SC/ST) marks in your 12th standard or you must be in top 20 percentile toppers of your 12th standard board examinations. So, if you have secured top 1,50,000 rank in JEE Main examination and have minimum 75% aggregate marks in your 12th standard board examinations, you are eligible to apply for JEE Advanced examination.

JEE stands for Joint Entrance Examination and the same examination is held once every year by CBSE for admissions in the top government engineering colleges like IIT, NIT, IIIT, ISM and other Centrally funded Institutes of technology.

The same examination is organised in two phases which comprises of JEE Main and JEE Advance respectively.

To be eligible for JEE Advance you are required to clear the stage one of JEE i.e; JEE Main along with that much aggregate in your respective board examination that keeps you within the top 20 percentile student of your board.

Having managed 62% in your Class 12th board examination with BSEB it looks tough that you will be among the top 20 percentile students of BSEB board as for past years the cutoff percentage hangs around 68%. But one thing I would like to make you clear that for this year the cutoff aggregate is yet not announced officially so you have some outside chance with yourself.
Do you have any question? or have anything to say?
