Quote:
For on-campus placement it is a necessity that you score above 60% through out your 10th,12th and B.Tech but off-campus the companies look for only talent..if you have it in you then prove it to them during the technical round, group discussion and interview.. else you can try for M.Tech through GATE..you can clear this exam with a good score so that you can make it to a very good college for M.Tech and get directly placed form there in the on-campus placement.. else if you want to get into management then you can go for MBA..for getting into top MBA colleges..you need to clear any of the following exams with a good percentile.. 1)CAT 2)XAT 3)MAT 4)FMS 5)Symbiosis clearing any of these exams with a good percentile will let you enter into a top MBA college,, all the best and follow your interest.. ~Hope this helps.. ~ With Warm Regards "Nitz" |

Re: If I score less than 60% in 12th and above 70% in B.Tech what should I do?
dear friend,
Maximum software company want 60% - 65% in through out in career . The better option for below 60% candidate is to go for higher study. Some few software company allow 50% above criteria like WIPRO, SYNTEL ,HONEYWELL etc. So you are eligible for WIPRO, SYNTEL ,HONEYWELL because your 10 th marks is just below 60%.. Also you are eligible for .NET and PHP company so you can contact those company. Better option for you to go for higher study like JRF ,SRF,MBA,M-TECH,MS,PHD etc. All the best. |

Although you have a decent percentage in your B.Tech but it seems that you were not able to score such percentage in 12th standard.
Generally all the CMM level5 companies provide an overall career percentage of 60 throughout your career. You didn't manage to score such marks. Therefore it's quite tough for you to apply in the top level companies. But there are several others CMM level3 companies which provide a less percentage. You can easily apply for those companies. All the very best for your future. |

Re: If I score less than 60% in 12th and above 70% in B.Tech what should I do?
dear friend,
First of all, I'm sorry to know you that you will not be eligible for big companies like TCS,CTS,Wipro,Infosys,Accenture,L&t etc. But if you want jobs then you will get job in small companies. In such companies marks is not a factor, there you have to learn how to work. And after gaining the experience you will go for such big companies mentioned above. Secondly, you will go for higher studies. After passing B.Tech. you may attempt GATE(Graduate Aptitude Test Examination). If you have score well in GATE then go for M.Tech..After M.Tech you will again go for jobs or higher studies. Another thing you can do i.e. M.B.A.(Master of Business Administrator), after getting the job or after M.Tech or after B.Tech. all the best. good day. |

You can either go for a job or go for higher studies. You need to check the opportunities page to know on the options available for you based on the stream you specialised. You can also register yourself in various job portals. If you want to continue studies options like M.Tech or MBA are some of the options available. Basically you need to set a career goal and take the appropriate steps to meet it.

As you have less than 60% in 12th and 70% in graduation , so I will suggest you to go for the Govt. sectors .Because those sectors doesn't need the 12th marks .The eligibility criteria for maximum Govt. sectors are -
1. Graduation from any recognized university . 2. Graduation with 60% marks. 3. Candidate should be a citizen of India . 4. Age limit = 21 to 30 years . Name of some Govt. jobs are - BHEL Railway SAIL GAIL ECIL EIL ISRO DVC DRDO Bank exams Other wise you can go for the UPSC exams also . Thank you |
