I am doing my final year B.TECH biotechnology? I am interested to do M.TECH BIOTECH by clearing the GATE. May i know which iit/nit's offer Biotechnology and have proper facilities?

Not all IITs and NITs have this course. There are some of them. For instance , if you want to join M.Tech program for biotechnology, then the best choice is IIT Chennai and Delhi. They have good infrastructure and industry collaboration, even they have signed many MoU with foreign R&D companies.

Among NITs, NIT Durgapur, Calicut, Rourkela, Warangal are best .

Another better option for you can be BITS, Pilani. It can be better choice than NIT members. Notification will come soon for all these. But to get IIT choice, you must be among toppers, as this branch is becoming very popular among students, so does competition for it.

Biotech postgraduates now a days getting wonderful opportunities in India and abroad as well. You can even apply for M Tech cum Phd program in these university, so that you can save time and you will have higher qualification. Phd guys are in high demand among Pharmacy Industry.

iit bombay is good \ best for biotechnology or other iit

There are many colleges offering M.Tech in Biotechnology including many IITs and NITs the admission to these colleges is done through GATE score . You need to fill up the individual college forms unlike the B.Tech admissions after considering your GATE score you will be called for interview depending upon the college , some of these colleges don't take interview for admission and the admission is given on the basis of merit considering your GATE score and your B.Tech four year aggregate percentage.
The expected cutoff for M.Tech in Biotech is
700 out of 1000 for IITs
550 out of 1000 for NITs

It is good that you have opted for Biotechnology for your masters degree. Biotechnology field has emerged out as a very fascinating field for career growth.
Not all IITs and NITs provide BoiTech course. Apart from IITS and NITs some other good institutes also provide BIoTech M.tech course.

Eligibility for M.Tech. can be done after Chemical / Bio-chemical engineering, Leather technology, Pharmaceutical technology, Food Technology, B.Pharma and Dairy technology, Post graduates in life sciences, Botany, Zoology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Genetics, Physiology, Pharmacology and Biophysics can also study for an M.Tech. in Biotechnology.

I am a b.tech graduate in biotechnology from one of the top nit. The placement in core company was almost nil. Only one core company hired 3 students from our branch. But there was plenty of offers from consultancy companies and coaching institutes.
Package: 3-4 lkp average. But some companies also offer 6-7 lkp.

No, you should apply after M.Sc. degree
