IME Mumbai approved by aicte.. Please tell me the details regarding the same

i m government servant in DRDO as a Leading Fireman & i want to complete Diploma in mechanical engeering,Can i complete it through ime?& Is it valid for govt. internal vacancy of DRDO?

I have passed IME in Degree in Mechanical Engineering on 2001.
Is my certificate valid for B.E / B.TECH qualified candidates eligibility in Pvt or Govt. Organisation?
