the indian institute of space sciences and research offers phd in space research and more over the students coming from this college are directly absorbed into isro

is it possible to do phd without doing master course in civil engineering,if so please tell me colleges providing such facilities

the application form can be downloaded from the official website of IIST.....
the phd program is in feb 2010
the filled application along with attested copies of the documents must be sent to
administrative office,IIST,VSSC,ISRO campus,thiruvananthapuram ....with superscription "Application for IIST phd program"
it should also have a dd of rs 250.......

candidates will de shortlisted on the basis of Acedimic records and national eligibility test....
shortlisted candidates will have to appear for a exam...
then qualifying students will have to appear for a interview....
candidates passing in all the exam ...will be noticed for an final interview.....

last date of submission is 31 dec 2009.....

1. Educational Qualifications:

Masters Degree in the relevant area with first class or equivalent. However, outstanding candidates with Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with an excellent academic record and aptitude for research may be considered for direct admission to the Ph.D. Programme.
