Re: Job opportunities for biomedical engineering students?
Quote:
The course Biomedical engg deals with the medical equipments used in the Health care sectors to treat, diagnose the patients. This also had the good scope in the biomedical industries like GE and Wipro. Since you wish to join the MBBS but with no scope, you can opt for the B.Sc in Biomedical Sciences and then easily join the M.Sc in Anatomy or Physiology which is more similar to the MBBS, which indulges the human body dissection and cadaver dissection etc which is having a great scope more than the MBBS. All the Best !!! |

Re: Job opportunities for biomedical engineering students?
Biomedical engineering students find excellent opportunities in government regulatory agencies, research centers, and large pharmaceutical industries. They are also absorbed by the educational institutions, rehabilitation centres, laboratories etc.. They develop biomaterials to blend living cells and biomechanics and provide a match for living tissues. In abroad they find employment opportunities like clinical engineers, orthopedic engineers etc...

Re: Job opportunities for biomedical engineering students?
hello dear
engineering & medical both are totally different field. as you are doing engineering so you can't do medical. but your engineering topic is related to medical. as the main function of biomedical engineering holders to development of newly equipments, maintanence of medical instruments. so you will have job in hospital/ nursing home. or medical instruments producing company. best of luck...... |

Re: Job opportunities for biomedical engineering students?
biomedical engineering is the discipline that deals with engineering concepts in medicine.
in india biomedical engineering has no scope at all. Here biomedical engineering is assumed to be related to only biomedical instruments. good organizations like philips,GE,seimens, toshiba etc. do not give any f*****g chance to freshers. further you would work as sales or service engineer because no manufacturing is here in india for most of the biomedical equipments such as MRI CT scan etc. So being a BIOMEDICAL Engineer(BULL SHIT) I would like to suggest you that do not become a biomedical engineer. Do not take admission in fake branch in good engineering college. Rather take a good branch(IT,ECE,EL,Mechanical ect.) in fake engineering college. |

Re: Job opportunities for biomedical engineering students?
Biomedical Engineering is a diverse field of engineering that integrates science, medicine and mathematics to solve biological and medical problems thereby making the world a healthier place to live.
The challenges created by the diversity and complexity of living systems require creative, knowledgeable and imaginative people working in teams of physicians, scientists, engineers and even business folk to monitor, restore and enhance normal body function. Biomedical Engineers require a solid foundation in a more traditional engineering discipline such as electrical, mechanical or chemical engineering. Most undergraduate biomedical engineering programs require students to take a core curriculum of traditional engineering courses. However, biomedical engineers will be expected to integrate their engineering skills with their understanding of the complexity of biological systems in order to improve medical practice. Thus biomedical engineers must be trained in the life sciences as well. |
