Re: Joining R&AW (RAW) after BCom? Procedure?
Dear,
RAW is Research and Analysis Wing of Indian Army who takes care of Intelligence part for our country India. I am not very sure the way and procedure to join this esteemed organization but I would like to tell you that this is where you work as 007 James Bond Fame. You dont need to be known to work for your country. With Pakistan, China and other countries out to do damage and Muslims hard-liners declaring Vande Matram as Non- Islamic, you all can just imagine the security threat for this great country. I request you all to find ways to join RAW or Indian Armed Forces to help in building the strong nation. If you talk about salary structure, a captain rank army officer earns from 40000rs to 60000rs as in hand salary. And you can become a captain in first 2 years of joining armed forces ( i am talking about Indian Army). Compare it with software development companies like TCS, INFosys, Wipro, they only pay a mere 3 lakhs package to their employees that's too on papers, in hand salary is very much low. So Join Armed Forces, RAW, Indian Army, Indian Navy, Indian Air Force. Ear More , Raise your living standards and make a strong nation. Thx. |

dear friend
after b.com, if you want to go in RAW than first improve your skills like corroption, hacking. You have to appear for IPS examination after your degree. Only after becoming a police officer, you could join RAW........ ok all the best. . |

Re: Joining R&AW (RAW) after BCom? Procedure?
I had also previously disscussed that there is no Entry Schemes for R & AW as that of other India Security or defence services.
R & AW is an independant body, it has the power to select candidates as they wish, sometime R & AW recruits there agents and officers from Army, IPS, IAS, IB, CBI, or sometimes directly from Universities (very rare case). Present R & AW chief is P K Hormis Tharakan, who is 1968 batch IPS and was Directorate General of Police. In the same way previous R & AW chief was Mr. K.C.Verma he was the chief of IB. Now the thing would be clear to you, that there is no direct recruitment policy for it. Like wise IAS, IPS etc. R & AW service is known as RAS (Research and Ananlysis Service). The whole tenure of a R & AW agent is of nearly 2-5 years, after that they are allowed to back to there old service of weather IAS, IPS etc. If you want to join R & AW directly then I have two ideas strucking in mind. 1) RAW recruit directly through Staff Selection Commission Organize, which a exam called Deputy Field officers Under cabinet secretary, there you can appear. And we know cabinet secretary is also an IAS officer, as because cabinet secretary is the highest post of IAS, he is who handles PM's office. 2) Candidates who TOP IAS exams are invited by RAS to join them. But its not so easy. RAS conducts its own entrance even tougher then IAS, followed by Personality test etc. Then begins training .......... Training at RAS is very different from those of any other Security services. Basic training conssist of "PEP TALK" this is to increase the level of confidance of the officer. Which contains various case studies of reputed National and International Security organisations etc. Then comes new training of 1 or 2 years, which is normal. Remember one thing all these are quite interesting to read but not easy to achieve. One of the quality of R & AW officers is that sometimes they are also TOP level "White cap Hackers" are also recruited in R & AW in very rare case if they dont find good 'Hackers" from ARMY or IPS. I think India's TOP HACKER "Ankit Fadia" has also worked in a case (Not as officer, as a professional hacker) for R & AW anf FBI and NIA also. Best of Luck Regards ~Faiyaz~ Last edited by faiyaz; 13th May 2010 at 09:32 PM. Reason: editting |

Re: Joining R&AW (RAW) after BCom? Procedure?
hey friend there is no such direct entry for the RAW as they dont conduct any exam for it.........they have there own criteria for the selection of candidates.........
they select the candidates for well trained institute or some other security agency....... so if you really want to join RAW then go for such institute from where you can be selected for it.......or just go for some other thing like CBI.......... best of luck |

Re: Joining R&AW (RAW) after BCom? Procedure?
dear friend,
for joining into RAW after BCom you have to pass civil service exam which is conducted by UPSC with very good marks. RAW is a confidential agency of India.it gives inputs to the government about attacks of terrorists. after getting good score in final exam you will join IPS. after becoming an IPS officer you can join RAW at later stage of your career. best of luck. |

Re: Joining R&AW (RAW) after BCom? Procedure?
Deputy Field Officers (DFO): Are appointed directly at the junior levels and then the field officers and senior field officers. DFO are recruited for General Duty (GO), basically in telecom, technical and economics. As we know other than GO, the rest are promoted to FO and then RO (Resident Officers) in their respective cadres.
We know (General Knowledge) that Field officers (equivalent to inspector) and senior field officer (equivalent to DSP) are appointed on seniority. You need to work for a minimum of eight years as a DFO to be promoted to the next level, that is a FO. Similarly after minimum five years FO is promoted to senior field officer (SFO) (Class I) rank. Foreign postings are only for General Duty FO and SFO, under, secretary, deputy secretary, director, joint secretary and additional secretary. However Cabinet Secretary heads the whole one. Before reaching to PM (Prime Minister) or Defence Mnistry, Home Ministry, Officers and Agent should have to go through “Cabinet Secretary”. (Don’t be confused just for General Knowledge). Re: Joining R&AW (RAW) after BCom? Procedure?
hi friend,
Joining in RAW is not a direct one for students of any field. Candidates are taken from Police , military and other services in timely manner. At present RAW has its own recruiting cadre named as RAS: Research and Analysis Services to recruit talents. Recruitment is mostly by deputation from the Armed Forces or Civil Service Officers. The Civil and Defense Service Officers permanently resign their cadre and join the Research and Analysis Service (RAS). R&AW also employs a number of linguists and other experts in various fields. Recruitment in R&AW is taken in the name of NATI (National Aptitude Test in Intelligence). However Deputy Field Officers (at the junior level), field officers and senior field officers are appointed directly to the Research & Analysis Service (RAS). Recruitment at the lowest level is that of an ‘attache’ and during the probation period, you are designated as Under Secretary. |

Re: Joining R&AW (RAW) after BCom? Procedure?
Joining R&AW i not an easy job. It is a big job where you can die any time. Before taking this job anyone must be prepared mentally and physically. Anyone with required skill can join but he must be prepared mentally to it. If an Agent goes mission he may not even talk to there family for years.
So think before you join.. |
