Karnataka state open university was formally established on june 1,1996 under KSOU act of 1992.It is the 8th open university established in India.

Karnataka State Open University is approved by UGC . But Karnataka State Open University is not approved by AICTE

So after getting certificate from KSOU , you can apply any govt jobs in India .

But some private companies like MNC are not accepted KSOU degree .

The list of other affiliation for KSOU :-

1.The Distance Education Council (DEC) New Delhi
2.Regular member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), Delhi
3.Permanent member of Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU) London UK
4.Asian Association of Open Universities (AAOU), Beijing, China
5.Commonwealth of Learning (COL).

If any technical course is not approved by AICTE is not valid for some central govt jobs .
