KARNATAKA STATE OPEN UNIVERSITY is approved by UGC .

But not approved by AICTE.

I have attached the UGC approval document.

Karnataka State Open University is a recognised University of Distance Education Council (DEC), New Delhi, regular member of the Asssociation of Indian Universities (AIU), Delhi.

This University is also recognised by UGC (University Grant Comission) But not recognised by AICTE.

But, there is no need to approved by AICTE because the University is Recognised by UGC, DEC. If you are Interested to do course form this university, then please dont worry because the University is Fully Recognised and this university will offers various course.

Karnataka State Open University is a recognized University of Distance Education Council under the agies of Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) (Revised notification F. No. DEC/OU/Recog./2008).

So, the university is recognised by UGC and DEC and if you need more information then please check official website :
