KCET Engineering 2015 eligibility criteria


KCET Engineering Eligibility 2014 I came to know from the following links. But now want to know the exact criteria for 2015 which is not present in the mentioned link.

KCET Engineering 2015 Eligibility Criteria:

-> Applicants should have passed 12th standard with Physic, Chemistry, Math/ Biology from a recognized Board/University.

-> Applicants should have scored at least 45% marks in 12th board exam. It mandates the applicant should have studied above mentioned
subjects in English.

-> Applicants must be resident of Karnataka, those applicants who, having the proof of their residency are eligible to write KCET 2015.

-> Provision for applicants outside Karnataka is that they can write KCET only if they have studied 7 years in Karnataka.

Important Dates for KCET Engineering 2015:
  • Applications Form will be Available From - 30th January 2015
  • Last Date for Sending Application Request- 2nd March 2015
  • Last Date to Submit Application Fee - 4th March 2015
  • Issuance of Admission Ticket will Start from- 15th April 2015
  • KCET 2015 - 29th/30th April 2015
  • Kannada Language Test will be on - 1st May 2015
  • Agriculture Quota Practicle Exam will be Held on - 16th May 2015
  • Result of KCET 2015 will be Declared on- May end or June starting
  • Counselling of KCET 2015- Mid-June

Karnataka Examination Authority conducts the KCET (Karnataka Common Entrance Test) every year for getting the admission into undergraduate courses like Engineering, Homeopathy, Medicine and Agriculture field.

Candidates should have passed at least their 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Maths/Biology from the recognized university.

If you want to get the admission into M.B.B.S. course then you should have secured at least 50% aggregate marks in your intermediates however, no any percentages limit for any other courses.

To become eligible for KCET exam, candidates should possess residency of Karnataka.

KCET means "Karnataka Common Entrance Test" and this test is conducted by the "Karnataka Examination Authority" .This test is conducted for the allotment of seats in the engineering college of Karnataka.

The eligibility criteria for the KCET is as below:-

1. Applicants should have passed 12th standard with Physics,Chemistry,Maths from a recognized Board/University. .
2.Applicants should have scored at least 45% marks in 12th board exam or its equivalent.
3.It mandates the applicant should have studied above mentioned subjects in English,Hindi medium students are not allowed to appear in this test.
4.75 % of seats is reserved for the Applicant who are resident of Karnataka.
5.The students from other states can also take benefits of reservation if he/she will be leaving in karnataka for more than 7 years.
6.The condidate should have good knowldege of english in order to adjust himself in the college.
