IES i.e Indian Engineering Service Examination Now it is called as Engineering Service Examination because to differentiate between Indian Economic Service.

Eligibility & age limits:- Only Engineering Graduate with either civil , Mechanical , Electrical And Electronics and Telecommunication Can write IES i.e Indian Engineering Services andFor writing the only criteria you must satisfy is you should be between 21 years of Age to 30 years

Exam Pattern
Part I—The written examination will comprise two sections Section I consisting only of objective types of questions and Section II of conventional papers. Both Sections will cover the entire syllabus of the relevant engineering disciplines

Total 1000 Marks will be there

Part II—Personality test carrying a maximum of 200 marks of such of the candidates who qualify on the basis of the written examination.

In Order to Crack IES you need to score atleast 40 % in each Part. But we can't predict its exactly 40% because every year Cut off depends upon Quantity of candidates appeared and Marks obtained by them.

Last 10 years solved question papers of Indian Engineering Services Exam(ECE)?

If you search in the Net You will not find any where Solved question papers for IES.Its better if you Purchase Books which consists of Previous year Solved Question papers.

Actually IES is engineering services exam. The two names you are talking about are same.
IES is conducted by UPSC, you can apply if you have done Btech in following streams and atleast 21 yrs old.

Civil Engineering.
Mecahnical Engineering.
Electrical Engineering.
Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering.

Notification will be announced in February(in all national dailies) and exam is conducted in May.

Previous Year Question Papers of Engineering Services Exam

The Engineering Services Exam is conducted every year by the UPSC (Union Public Service Commission)

Candidates appearing for the Engineering Services must have following qualifications :-

>> Candidate must be within the age limit of 21-30 years if general..

>> 21-33 years if you are an OBC candidate..

>> 21-35 years if you belong to SC/ST category..

>> 21-40 years if you are physically disabled..

>> You must have completed your B.E/B.Tech from a recognized University in any of the following streams :-
> Electrical Engineering
> Electronics and Communications Engineering
> Mechanical Engineering
> Civil Engineering

You can also visit http://upsc.gov.in for more details about the exam..
