AIPMT Application Form 2012

The forms can be obtained both in online and offline modes:

1)Online forms are available at wesite: www.aipmt.nic.in.

Application cost:
Rs. 700/- for General/ BC Category Candidate
Rs. 350/- for SC / ST Category

Offline :
Offline submission of Application may be made on the prescribed Application Form.

Fee structure:
Rs.800/- for General / OBC Category
Rs.450/- for SC / ST category can be obtained against Cash Payment from the designated branches of Canara Bank / Regional Offices of the CBSE between
13.12.2011 to 31.12.2011.

AIPMT stands for All India Pre Medical/ Pre Dental Entrance Examination. This Exam is being conducted by CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) to give admission for MBBS or BDS for 15% seats of total seats in Medical colleges all over India.

One has to go through a Preliminary Examination first. After qualifying in this exam, you have to qualify in Main Exam also in order to get admission for MBBS or BDS.

For this academic year, AIPMT preliminary exam was conducted on 3rd April, 2011.

The main exam was conducted on 15th May, 2011.

For the next academic year, CBSE has not released notification yet. However, here are tentative dates regarding this exam.
-Commencement of Preliminary Exam : 1st week of April, 2012
-Commencement of Main Exam : 2nd week of May, 2012

Totally, 127 Medical Colleges and 30 Dental Colleges are being affiliated to AIPMT.

You should have completed 12th class with the subjects of Biology/Biotechnology, Physics, Chemisry and English/Mathematics as the other subject.

You should have completed 17 years of age by the year in which you are going to take admission for this course.

In order to apply for this exam, one should be in the age group of 17-25 years by the 31st December of the year in which the exam is going to be conducted.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR AIPMT EXAM

Those candidate have completed 12th standard are eligible for AIPMT exam but your 12th standard subject must be Physics , Chemistry , Bio logy and English.

Also you must score 50% in all above mention subjects.

For SC/ST candidate this percentage is reduced to 40%.

AGE CRITERIA

Your minimum age should be 17 years.

This year AIPMT exam date is not announced yet.

ALL INDIA PRE-MEDICAL/PRE-DENTAL ENTRANCE EXAMINATION : AIPMT

This Exam is proposed by CBSE(central board secondary education) to give admission in medical college for medical course like MBBS, BDS etc.

Online submission of application may be made by accessing the Board's website http://www.aipmt.nic.in. Instructions for sending online application, payment of fee and computer generated printout are available on website.


Important dates for CBSE AIPMT 2012:
As you can see in the curtain raiser notification, only the dates of AIPMT 2012 Prelims have been announced as below:

Date of AIPMT 2012 Preliminary Examination - 1st April, 2012
Date of AIPMT 2012 Final Examination - 13th May, 2012
Dates for other schedules such as Date of availability of forms, last date of form submission for AIPMT 2012 is expected to be followed shortly.

Eligibilities for CBSE AIPMT exam:
i) You must be an Indian national.
ii) Academic eligibility (Minimum percentage) for AIPMT:
50% for General category student & 40% for SC/ST/OBC category student in Physics, Chemistry Biology taken together (i.e. aggregate). Also students should pass Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English subjects individually.
iii) Age eligibility (Minimum percentage) for AIPMT:
Minimum 17 years at the time of admission or on 31st December of the year of admission. Maximum 25 years as on 31st December of the year of the entrance examination. Upper age limit relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST/OBC students.
iv) You can attempt AIPMT for a maximum number of 3 (three) attempts.
v) Final year Class-XII students (who are appearing Class-XII final in 2012) can also appear in the exam provided he meets all other eligibilities as given above.
