CPT stands for the Common Proficiency Test. If you want to become a chartered accountant then, you should have to apply for this examination. It is the first stage exam of CA.

Generally, candidates who have passed their 10+2 can apply for this exam. However, graduate candidates are also eligible to sit for this exam.

To become eligible for this exam, candidates from commerce background must have secured at least 50% marks while, non-commerce background candidates should have secured at least 60% marks with maths subject (Without maths it is 55% marks).

CA course consist three stages:

• Common Proficiency Test (CPT),
• Integrated Professional Competence Course (IPCC) and
• Final Course

Important Dates:

• Last date for registration => 28th April 2015
• Exam date => 14th June 2015 (Sunday)
