Last date for submission of IPS application form? Where to get application forms for this Exam? Previous year Question papers for this Exam?
Respected Sir, i want to know what is the last date of submission of I.P.S. Application form and where will i get the application form n what are the subjects i have to prepare and where will i get the previous question papers.

The upcoming civil service exam is going to be conducted on 20-05-2012. The application form will be available from 04-02-2012 and the last date of submission of the application form will be 05-03-2012. The application forms can be obtained from designated post office and head post offices or you may apply online through www.upsconline.nic.in. The examination comprise of three stages which includes two written exams and an interview. The first stage is known as preliminary exam which is basically a civil service aptitude test and it comprise of two compulsory papers based on general studies and aptitude test. The second stage is known as main exam and it comprise of both compulsory as well as optional papers. For previous years question papers, refer to the official website of union public service commission. |

Indian Police Service exam is held once in year, this exam is part of Civil service exam and exam is conducted by UPSC.
Eligibility criteria for PAS exam: Candidate should have complete graduation degree with any stream from a recognized university. Age should be between 21 to 30 years for General category candidates,21to 33 year for OBC category candidates,21 to 35 years for SC/ST category candidates Number of attempts: 4 attempts for General category candidates. 7 attempts for Obc category candidates Unlimited attempts for SC/ST category candidates. Important dates for IPS-2012 exam: Indian Police Service(Preliminary exam) Notification for this year: Issue of application form from 4th Feb 2012 to 5th March 2012. Exam will held on 20th May 2012. Indian Police Service (Main Exam) notification for this year: Exam will held on 15th Oct 2012. To become IPS officer, we need to write UPSC exam. UPSC exam is mandatory to become IPS officer. The eligibility criteria for candidates is 1.Must be citizen of India 2.Must hold a degree from recognized university of India 3.Must be of minimum 21 years old. The UPSC Civil Services notification will be released in Dec 2011. It has three phases. 1.Prelims (Scheduled to be conducted on May 20th,2012) 2.Mains (Scheduled to be conducted on Oct 5th,2012) 3.Interview (Dates will be given to those who clear mains) Notification is not yet released.So once it releases in December, we can find the last date. |

IPS stands for indian police service.for IPS, a exam is conducted by UPSC(union public service comission ) that is called CSAT (civil services aptitude test). ABOUT CSAT :- there are two types of examination in CSAT ,first is the priliminary exam and second is the main exam. there are two papers in priliminary exam that contains only objective questions and after qualifying this exam , a main exam is conducted which contains descriptive questions. you have to choose the subject on graduation basis for main exam. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA :- for applying for CSAT you have to complete your graduation from recognised university ,final year student are also applicable. AGE LIMIT :- your age should be lie between 21 to 30 for applying. upper age relaxation for sc\ST is 5 years and for OBC is 3 years.
