Ansal Institute of Technology (AIT) was established in the year 2005 by the Ansal Group of Companies, under the Chairmanship of Mr. Sushil Ansal. The college has been approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Govt of India and Govt. of Haryana. The college is affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU), Delhi.

The college offers a 4 years Bachelor of Engineering (BE) course in four streams- Computer Science & Engineering; Electronics & Communication Engineering; Electrical and Electrical & Electronics Engineering and Information Technology. The college also offers some additional bachelors courses like Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), Bachelor of Business Administration (Banking & Insurance) and Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA), along with Management programs like Master of Business Administration (MBA).

From the session 2006-07 and onwards, the admissions to the college in Bachelor courses are made through AIEEE, which is conducted by CBSE, New Delhi or AIT’s Aptitude Test. Diploma holders can also be admitted in IIIrd semester directly, if the person qualifies in Lateral Entry Examination Test (LEET) conducted by Haryana State. The person needs to qualify either of the entrance exam- CAT/MAT/GMAT/JMET/XAT/GRE or any other entrance exam for Postgraduate programs.
