Which are the possible courses that can join after BE in Aeronautical Engineering?

Aeronautical engineering is a branch of engineering which uses the science of propulsion and aerodynamics for aircraft design, construction and testing of aircraft, missiles and spacecrafts.

The specialisations in Aeronautical engineering include:

Structural design
Navigational guidance and control systems
Instrumentation
Communication or production methods for products like military aircrafts, passenger planes, helicopters, satellites, rockets etc.

Eligibility for Aeronautical Engineering Course:

In order to pursue a B.E. or B.Tech Course in Aeronautical Engineering in India, one needs to qualify the higher secondary examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. It is also mandatory to qualify in the Joint Entrance Examinations (J.E.E.) which the IIT's conduct in every year. Besides the IIT's there are some other institutes which also conduct entrance examinations for the admission of students.

Scope of Aeronautical Engineering Course in India:

In India, aeronautical engineers are mostly employed by ISRO (Indian Space Research Organization) and the Defence Ministry. One can also look for jobs available with the Civil Aviation Department, National Aeronautical Laboratory, Defence Research and Development Laboratories (DRDO) and Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL).

You can apply for M.E in Aeronautical Engineering. M.E degree can be opted in subjects like aircraft maintenance engineering, and space engineering. M.S degree in Aeronautical Engineering can be pursued from international Universities. MBA is another suitable option, which allows you to have managerial jobs in this field. The degree can be opted in streams like Operations Management, HR, or Systems.
