The Eligibility criteria for Lateral Entry -

Students who have completed first year in B.Tech from a recognized university or passed three years diploma after 10+2 with minimum aggregate of 60% marks in science and maths field are applicable for Lateral Entry Exam(This condition is vary from state to state )

Final year of Diploma degree candidate can also apply here .

For lateral Entry Top B.tech colleges like IITs,NITs,IIITs.There is no lateral entry into B.tech we can go only through IIT-JEE.For other state wise top b.tech colleges offered lateral entry for ECE students.Like in A.P ECET Exam is conducted to enter into b.tech second year into top colleges like JNTUH,OU,AU,KU.

To get admission in any Engineering College through Lateral entry,you need to fulfill the eligibility conditions first,

Eligibility conditions for Lateral entry admissions:

• You must have completed your Diploma course with minimum 60% marks in Engineering from a recognized State Board of Technical Education.
• You must not have any backlog left in Diploma course.
• Your age must not be more than 28 years.

or

• You must have completed your B.Sc degree from a recognized University with minimum of 50% marks.
