As per my knowledge

you cannot do ECE through M.tech program

only ECE people will have this option of doing another branch

i.e., A techhie of BE Electronics can do Computer science in M.tech and Electricals in this M.E

but not an IT student can do his m.tech in the field of IT only ..

here's one simple logic too..

A BE electronics student will study ..about JAVA C++ and all

and also Computer organisation but

a IT student will not have any idea about

Digital Signal Processing

and

V.L.S.I

and all of the electronics so this is the reason why i think it is not possible for you guys do m.tech in electronics..

if there is any chance then don't leave it..

regards

Sorry you can not do.
ECE students allow to this. They can change their Branch.
But you are the student of IT so you can not change your Branch.
and why you are thinking of doing this wrong thing.
Work hard on your field.
I will sure that on day success in your hand.

yes it is possible to M.tech in what ever stream after completing b.tech in whatever stream.
but the only criteria is you need a more than good gate rank in the trade you want to go for your M.tech
You can appear for ECE GATE paper and if get a more than than good rank then you will be called for an interview; that is the most toughest part of changing a stream. because interviewers will grind you via all the logical questions in the field of ECE. you have to prove your self in front of them that yes you know the core ECE stuff.
after getting in you can choose VLSI or whatever as your special paper in M.tech .

The M.TECH graduates have more preferable than B.TECH graduates due to the M.TECH graduates are specialised in particular field.
The M.TECH is better than B.TECH in salaries and in the field of knowledge.
The courses in M.TECH graduation are
1.Embedded systems.
2.VLSI.
3.DIP etc.
The best universities in tamilnadu offering M.TECH with placement are
1.SRM universities.
2.Anna university.
3.Annamalai university.

After B.tech IT you can prepare for GATE exam to do M.Tech IT.
You can't change your stream from IT to Electronics Engg.
but you can do M.tech with same stream, there are very good scope in IT
After M.tech you can work with MNC , TCS, Infosis, Software Company, Works as Software planner, system administrator, system analyst,
Great scope in M.tech, Score high percentile in GATE exam for M.tech Because you will gate the college regarding your performance in GATE exam..

i wish for your bright future

Hi..

M.Tech is the Master's in Technology course which is a Master's course and related to Technical Education.

In India GATE is regarded as the toughest Master's exam, which gets admissions to the IIT's, IISC, NIT's etc..

Now this course requires the applicants to be a minimum graduate in B.E/B.Tech in any stream.
One can always choose some different specialization in the M.Tech but usually people do not change streams as it results in a mix knowledge situation.
So a specialization should always be done in once own stream of B.E/B.Tech.

Since you have done B.Tech in IT, You may always choose M.Tech in Computer Science.
This is the only option available for the CS and IT stream students.

Otherwise, still if you want to go for Electronics or Communication, you can choose from Nanotechnology, Communication systems, Embedded systems and VLSI, etc courses...

The decision if upto you. Yeah you are eligible to take up any course in M.Tech.

All the best.

Regards

Hi,
I appreciate your interest in electronics you can do your m.tech but it is difficult to face subjects.

In IT branch you don't have electronics related subjects if they have also they are not in depth.

Before going to join have a glance on the subjects of electronics such as:

Signal processing,

VLSI

Embedded system.......etc

All the best.

Work hard and achieve your dreams.
